ENEDED

Thank you for letting me know

219c will be again available on Nov.29

I bought XP-G3 yesterday, are they already shipped the version without problems?

Well, I will purchase it on arrival.Iā€™m wish is Astrolux to make a holster for MF01.

XP-G3 V1, Intelligent temperature control setting was high :frowning: The possibility that XP-G3 V2 is getting better is high.

219C V1, Intelligent temperature control setting was optimal.
219C V2 is set down, and turbo step down is done immediately.
219C V1, the coloration of LED is also wonderful, it is the best thing if it works normally

Personally I liked the v1 tint a little more. Though there isnā€™t as much difference between v1 and v2 - camera canā€™t see it, eye canā€¦ a little. Color rrendering is nice on v2 as well, so it looks like is still 90 CRI.

v2 - Turbo is stepping down after ~80-90 seconds and pretty slowly. I like the 3000lm High mode - wit a little wind and not too high temperature it can run for ~90 minutes straight, without stepdown. With the computer fan I mentioned it was ~37-38 Celsius.
Also, while the body temperature was controlled nicely in v1, the driver temperature was another matter, my light was capable of runniong few minutes on turbo without stepdown, but after that it was shorted - I could not turn it off. So I suppose ā€˜better darker than sorryā€™

Thank,
Are they sending the v2 XP-G3 ??

Do PROTECTED cells fit in this battery carrier? I was told that the Mateminco MT35 and this light use the same carrier.

What are the LONGEST cells that will fit in the carrier?

I want to use either MJ1 or Panny/Sanyo GAā€™S BT. It will be modded and he states: Protected cells Only

GA Dimensions: Dimensions (including button): 69.7mm length (Ā±0.2mm) x 18.55 mm diameter (+0.1 / ā€“0.3 mm)

MJ1 Dimensions:Dimensions:[Including Button] 69.6mm length (Ā±0.3mm) x 18.6 mm diameter (+0.1 / ā€“0.3 mm)

Thanks

its wonā€™t fit, if you not remove plastic disc

Would they fit if you remove the white plastic rings or are they just too long?

I suppose if you were going to use protected cells only you could swap to a shorter spring.

Mtn Elec sells a nice spring that compresses really well. Iā€™ve used these when I needed to fit a long cell and the stock spring just did not compress enough.

This is a new spring that is quite short. It looks great for long, protected cells, but might not be long enough for short, unprotected cells. I have not tried this one.

You could buy 4 or 5 of each and try them out, assuming you can solder.

OK,Thanks XXX and Jason.

I have a nichia v2 and can confirm, that on high (2nd highest level-3000lm?) it will run for around 45 minutes until first recognizable step down.
Lamp was tail standing during test run in my bed at 23Ā°C ambient temp.
Just touched it shortly now and then to feel the temperatureā€¦
It was almost cool, and heating up very very slowly but constantly until step down.

On highest level step down happened after 2 or 3 minutesā€¦ Did not measure that timeā€¦

Do you think this is it?

.

Holy Moly ! I want one.

If this is a thrower the head isnā€™t that big. Looks to be some sort of super mega multi led setup.

Good lord! Iā€™d buy this to use as a bat. I fear no one!

Maybe 10 xhp70. Nope, looks like 7 x 70.2 plus 1 xhp35.

Hi freeme, just ordered a Astrolux MF01 18x XP-G3/Nichia 219C [ preorder] :THUMBS-UP:

What are the differences between the CREE XP-G3 and the Nichia 219C? and is there a discount code for this torch? Thanks

Nichia = warmer light. A little less light output and more heat. Much better for walking, especially in forest. Great colors (high CRI).

XP-G = cool (pure white) light color. Not much advantages, unless you like this particular color.

tl;dr: Get Nichia
