ENEDED

If my parcels are delayed,I search in the “Netherlands post” site,as BG sends usually with this post my parcels.

Interested in the promocode! PM, please!

So far no issues in mine. The indicator does go red with batteries around 3.7 volts fairly fast but mine never shut off, definitely voltage sag. The 219C beam looks amazing and is warmer by a hair than my Emisar D4 with 5000k 80+CRI 219Cs.

My Samsung 30Q don’t have a large enough button top to work with the plastic rings so I removed them with a little effort. I’ll do some spring bypasses in the coming days for peace of mind.

I received many requests through PM over since 11th Anniversary Sale. Banggood has stopped taking new orders for ASTROLUX MF-01 for the time being. If you wish to be notified for the next coming batch (plus pricing), please reply in this thread and i will update the new list on second post.

Avoid PM please.

Thanks for the infos. It’s good to have it confirmed that the red light does indeed come on earlier than specified without shutting off early.

The beam is indeed beautiful, I fully agree!

Now a newbish question:

A current of 30A seems very high to me. Or is it harmless at 8V? Is it safe to touch the carrier with my bare hands while taking a measurement? To err on the safe side, I was wearing rubber gloves while I was measuring the voltage sag - am I being overly cautious, or are we indeed dealing with a dangerous current here?

Voltage is dangerous, not current. Roughly mehhh from 70 Volts or so is considered dangerous, although norms no doubt vary. So you’re safe to touch.

I´m interested.
Please send info, when you have any…

Thanks for clarifying. I even just learned the meaning of ‘mehhh’ by googling!

I must admit, I don’t understand a lot about these things, that’s why I prefer to be cautious rather than sorry if I’m unsure. Completely blew me away when I watched Photonic Induction’s video where he places a metal bar between the contacts of a 50kA transformer with his bare hands, while it becomes red hot from the current running through it! :open_mouth:

Well, it’s actually the amount of current (passing through the body) that determines how dangerous it is. More than 100mA is considered lethal, which (at normal skin moisture level) translates to roughly 100V.

Interested please add me to your list.

I got my MF01 this weekend finally. I see sillicoon posted pics of both flavor and his XP-G version looks warm white. Mine however, is cool white with none of that yellowish coloring. It is very bright and love the UI. Anyone on the fence about getting this light, get one you’ll love it. I’ll prolly take it and a few other lights out and do a video comparison sometime this week.

Been hard to keep up here. After posted, I did measure all modes, it's a little weird but I think the readings are as accurate as any other of my measurements:

Mode1: 7.5 lumens, Mode2: 775 lumens, Mode3: 1670 lumens, Mode4: 6240 lumens

The lowest mode is way lower than spec'd but does actually look very low and all LED's are lit up. It's pretty nice actually.

The low mode makes it a great indoor light.

Just got mine today. For the price, is a must buy. I’m using it as a beater light.

Well it’s official: I really like this light!

My 10 year old son and I took it for a spin last night and were both quite impressed. It’s by far the most powerful light I’ve ever used and it’s dead simple to operate and light up a large area. I explained how it worked and he got it in seconds and even knew to lock it out before handing it back to me.

It’s heavy. It gets hot on turbo. I fear for the large face hitting a rock in a ham-handed situation, but I find the steps nicely spaced and the Nichia’s are pretty. I don’t need moonlight as I always carry a single 18650 light with me to cover that situation. Nice work Astrolux! I can’t wait to bring it on the next scouting trip and blow the minds of all the campers!

219C

XP-G3

XP-G3

ALL WB5000K left XP-G3
I took a picture to compare the difference in brightness between 219C and XP-G3.
Unfortunately, despite the manual mode illumination correction was included.
For that reason brightness is not a reference.

The periphery of XP-G3 is green.
Not noticeable with the naked eye.

There is a possibility that correction is included in JPEG conversion as for color taste.
I regret not having saved RAW this time.
XP-G3 is white and bright, but my eyes hurt,
219C is easy to see but something is unsatisfactory.
Both have good points.

interested, add me in next batch

I took some beamshots of my MF01 while night riding. White balance and ISO locked for all shots across these 2 lights to look similar to how MY eyes see them. I could have(should have) pointed the MF01 up for higher modes, but I wanted it to be in the same position for all of them. I didn’t include low mode on the MF01 or C8.2 because it’s kind of moot. These were also the only lights I had with me as the C8.2 was my old favorite bike light, and I wanted to test the Q8 bike mount I made. It doesn’t seem like it has much spill in ambient lighting, but in the dark it is definitely a wall of light. On any mode 3 or lower I couldn’t feel any heat while riding and level 2 is very usable. It’s like riding in the day time.

Very interesting to see in picture what the naked eye doesn’t see. I prefer cool white which is why I picked the XP-G flavor. It also shows more lumen output on the D4 sales page. Your picture shows the 219 very white and easy on the eyes. Gonna take some pics with my digital cam. It’s just 16MP so not sure if it will get the detail your pics show. Very cool to see. Thanks for posting these sir. :+1:

The 219C is a very nice LED, yes.
Have it in my D4 and the MF-01 - and I don’t want anymore XP-G3 with their ugly corona for some time now
Even though the D4 tint is a bit nicer (“Whiter”)
