Fasttech - interesting new products - Flashlights, chargers, batteries and DIY and knives - please no discussions.

FWIW, I had an issue with a FastTech order recently.

I ordered about a dozen products, and one of the products was shown with an availability of a few days instead of “in stock”. A few days later, they sent a message saying they had shipped everything except that item, and would send it when it became available.

About two or three weeks later, FastTech contacted me again to say the item had been discontinued and they had sent me a refund for it. Paypal confirmed the refund.

The in-stock items arrived reasonably quickly considering where they came from, but my local post officer apparently lost or mis-delivered the package so I had to file a case with the local postal system. A few days later they found it and delivered it. That’s not FastTech’s fault though; this particular post officer seems to mis-deliver things pretty often.

In any case, I didn’t ask them to ship the available items first… they just did it and let me know afterward. And I didn’t ask for a refund. Again, I found out afterward. It was kind of a nice change, since it seems people usually have to go through Dispute Hell whenever anything goes wrong.

I was busy for a few days and here are some new nice products of the last days. I make two posts, because there are a lot of products.

This Stainless Steel Double Action Out-the-Front OTF Safety Knife has interesting deploying method. I bet it would be fun to play around with, but it might not be the cheapest or most practical knife out there for most uses.

FWIW, those Nite-Ize steel S-biners are really nice. Use them instead of split rings on a keychain, and it’s a lot easier to manage a bunch of items.

Not flasglihts, but a few great Sanrenmu - some UK legal (slipjoint and max. 8cm). I think steve will like some :) If something is legal in UK in most other countries it would be, too (like Australia and without any changes in Germany (fallen nicht unter das Führungsverbot §42 bzw. 42a), too. Tghe knives are also available on ebay.com or Aliexpress, but cost round about 20% more.
German customers with Paypal: Don't forget the coupon PAYPAL.de to save 7% (it works only on single item prices, not on the buy 3+ of one kind and you get the bulk price). It should work sidewide (tested it on knives yesterday). Sorry, this coupon works only for German customers (ende on 30. Aug 2014).

Two really short knives - maybe a nice girlfriend knife.

And one with some tools:
Sanrenmu 6050LUF-PH-T4 Multifunctional Stainless Steel 50mm blade / liner lock or frame lock. With a glass breaker, carabiner, rope cutter, wrench, bottle opener and a small LED (for finding the keyhole) $12,56 My link - non aff-link

@Buwuve - Please be aware, to be “UK legal” max blade length allowed is 3 inch = 76mm AND non locking.

So the above 80mm blades are just a little too long.

Very good knives on FT right now, very tempting!

UniqueFire UF-1405 1*Cree XM-L U2 1200-Lumen 5-Mode Cool White LED Flashlight - $34.892*26650 / w/ lanyard

why?? 70mm head!

=============================

UniqueFire UF-1407 1*Cree XM-L U2 1200-Lumen 5-Mode Cool White LED Flashlight - $22.661*18650 / w/ lanyard

WHy?? compact and looks awesome

If only some meathead hadn't run amok with a drill on the bezel. Would have bought one.

For $4.80, this one has my interest:

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1/10009202/1815003-u-520-1-cree-xp-e-q5-250-lumen-3-mode-pure-white

Compact AA/14500 twistie. Maybe a candidate for a mod host with an emitter and possibly driver swap...

70mm aspheric head? I’d love to find out if this is actually a good aspheric thrower host. If the optics are decent and have the right focal length and such, it could potentially turn a de-domed XP-G2 into a light saber.

Just what I was thinking. It reminds me of the big Crelant aspheric thrower.

If it was not for that ugly head, it might be worth a shot.

I’ve said that about some girls

Same thing I was thinking. Miss my t13 with the Crelant head. Was pushing 200kcd with a dedomed XRE at 1.8a.

Says it has a resin lens... Wonder if its any good, or if there is a good replacement

Time for a GB, haha I kid.

I don't. :D

That really came to my mind. This looks like a Wolf-Eyes Seal clone (or at least quite similar) - the first clone I have seen.. And as we know, Seal is pretty pricey, but also capable of ~500kcd pencil beam when modded properly.

If you can fins the time to do it, I will first on the list if the price is right. I even wouldn’t mind the 1406 as everyone has 18650’s, but it is a smaller lens.

I’d wait for a different vendor… That last Fasttech GB was a giant failed fiasco (purely on FT’s end from what I read).

But I too would be in for one of these, maybe get the manufacturer to not drill holes in the bezel.
