The 3 holes in the center of the PCB are for standoffs on the TIR so it cannot move once put in place.
Yes the center contact for the LEDs is connected to the whole of the rest of the pcb which is aluminum.

I forgot to post this before Christmas happened but I almost got it all finished!
Started off with replacing the wires on the driver. I need to pick up some wire (all I have is 22awg) but for this I used some from a laptop power supply so I know it can handle the current.
It’s all together… and it doesn’t work. It powers on but then blinks and shuts off so that’s not ideal. I made sure that there wasn’t a short anywhere so it must be the driver. I might have messed it up anytime in the process but luckily I have another 3v8a driver in my S6 that I can take and hopefully that will fix the problem. I sadly wasn’t able to get that swapped in before christmas so I should be able to do that tomorrow and hopefully that will fix the issue. I’m very excited to have this finished!
That sucks! Hopefully you can figure out the issue.
Could it be the battery?
No I checked with multiple batteries and made sure they were all charged. Luckily I’m fairly certain that it’s not a short so a driver swap should fix the issue
It is finished!!! I swapped in the other 3v8a driver I had (rip my S6) and it works flawlessly. I’m very happy that I didn’t have to remove the wires in the head because that would have been an absolute nightmare
