Hi Ch1ir
years ago I bought the FF4. I had never operated it until months after purchase. One evening I was bored and decided to charge up some batts and fire it up & pointed it in our court. It had just got dark, the house furthest away was about 100 yards away and it blew that house up like it was daytime-literally… I was in utter shock, mouth agape that a handheld light could do that… while the house was lit up like noon time, my wife freaked out and kept telling me to turn it off because the house residents (which we didnt know all that well) were surely going to come outside to see what was going on lol. ever since then, ive been a fan of FF.
What batteries are you using, if you dont mind me asking?
wow, so there’s a carrier that holds eight 18650’s?? I love the FF5 however it sure burns though batteries.
I’m using the pink 30Q’s and they work great. Oddly enough I just recommended the Gyrfalcon to my buddy yesterday but he said it’s sold out everywhere so I have to look around to see if I can find it. It’s literally running on my desk right now.
Fortunately I talked him out of buying a $20 “90,000 lumen” flashlight on Amazon. Oh geeze… This guy literally uses his iphone light to see stuff in the dark outside. He’s rather price sensitive so I pointed to him to the Nightwatch NSX3 w/ a 21700. Wish I could see the look on his face when he hits turbo on that bad boy. I doubt he’s even seen 200 lumens
Bummer…I have a spare carrier with four 30Q’s that I put in a holster that’s attached to the strap I’m using. If I ever take this thing somewhere hiking or whatever I might bring another four charged batteries
Went out for a walk tonight past this golf course. I was shining the FF5 on high - lit up some trees that had to have been close to a mile away. Was moving the beam and suddenly saw two huge deer looking back at me. I flipped it to low and shifted the beam a little so I wasn’t blasting them in the eyes. Really cool… oh and also it was raining and the 4300k shined through it like it was nothing.
Imagine a 20 foot wide beautiful yellow beam that shines for miles and a light you can have running until the batteries are dead. No heat issues. Looks absolutely incredible. Can’t wait for an FF6
