Fireflies E07 preview

*I sent my copper E07 back to Jacky in the US address for fixing because 3 things were broken and wrong and I am still being ghosted by him. I repeatedly messaged and emailed FF and Jacky, and always got ghosted. 2 years at this point and over $100 down the toilet. DON'T BUY FIREFLIES OR ANY OF THEIR NEW BRAND THEY ARE A BAD COMPANY *

how sad… they dont stand behind their warranty and lights :person_facepalming:

They do stand behind their warranty. I’ve had lights replaced. Their communication is not good at times because it is a one man company and Jack likely has other business/work so he disappears for periods of times and return. That’s my experience dealing with FF in the past few years. They make great products and hopefully they can grow bigger so they can hire more people to deal with customers or at least so Jack can devote more time to his flashlight business.

I just ended up with a clear anno E07 with 219b sw-45k’s in it. It is the 3 leg version, not that I am worried and the assembly on the aux board looks pretty good. Someone has turned the pot down all the way on the outside ring of aux lights, they do not light. That is fine by me as the middle ring are cyan and look pretty good. I have them turned off anyway and love that 2 of the 4 switch leds turn off as well. Can tell that these are early vintage sw-45k’s, the tint is beautiful! This is my first Fireflies light, don’t know why it took so long… I did feel that they were always over priced.

I have a couple of questions though… it is running very early Anduril. I would like to get a later version on it for the low/high option when locked out. What MCU is this driver running? Where in the world do you get the Lexel flash key, I have Hank’s but it is different.

TK, what version should I run on this light? Will it run Anduril 2?

BTW, 3000’ish lumens of sw-45k is really wonderful!!!

I’ts been a while but I recall the following:

  • Lexel/HQ Prog Key key are compatible or get 6 hands and hold pins in place one time with any DIY method.
  • It’s the usual ATtiny85 MCU
  • I think you need to use the setup file for the PL47 version 1, TK always said FF just re-used PL47 firmware for all their lights during this time period so there was never a true custom one made?
  • If you do go forward with it I believe you have to disconnect the aux board temporarily

Or you can solder the 6 pins directly to the pads like I did on a FT03
