Flame 26650 Bad?

Well, mine even make poor paper weights. Fasttech support is as expected. POOR!

I asked for a RMA and they said no. Again I just want to get a RMA and send the crap back to them, they respond wanting another picture. I already gave all the details.

I opened a PayPal dispute and they responded, but didn’t give any return instructions.

Would have been nice to give a RMA, a return address etc…

Typical Chinese seller IMO. The only way to get a real response is a PayPal dispute, that’s poor customer service. A simple RMA with a return address would have been much better.

Hmm… that’s unlike FastTech.

What was their reason?

Maybe you get two different people with a ticket verses a PayPal dispute? I don’t know, they did respond in a positive way to my PayPal message. But, no return address or RMA. I would like a confirmed RMA that I can put in the package and a confirmed address for returns.

Sad to hear it. I purchased 4 from FT and they have been terrific. I’m running them in HD2010’s and Keygos M10’s. One of the 2010’s pulls 5.1A tailcap and the batteries haven’t missed a beat. The batteries are maybe 4-5 months old and do have holograms. When my XML2-U2’s on noctigon’s show up I plan to increase it a little more. Not sure when the protection kicks in though… I would guess I’m close ot it now but not sure.

I wonder if the hologram stickers really matter? Some on the forums are also receiving 26650’s with no stickers and they have tested OK? I’ve ordered 10 lion batteries from Fasttech and a charger this year. The Flames are the only ones that I had a problem with.

I was hoping a PCB reset would work, but I think one cell is flat. The other one disagrees with the i4 and terminates early most of the time. By early, I mean 3.95 volts. If I keep “topping it off” I see 4.15 to 4.16. I have no issues with my 18650’s terminating early. 4.18 is normal for my charger.

Second one, capacity was 4296mAh. The third is on track for a similar finish.
Tanner, that’s a bummer that you have gotten bad ones and are having problems with the refund. I had only one bad battery from FT (one out of 20 SanyoZTs), and they gave me store credit very quickly. That was months ago though, they seem to be focused on other things these days.
I wonder if they have a presence on e-vape forums. They certainly have none on BLF anymore. :frowning:

Hmmm, I’m guessing since you went directly to Paypal dispute instead of contacting first they arent reacting as favorably. I notice most Chinese sellers really really dont want you to file a dispute, so much so that some will give you low cost/free stuff and/or a replacement to keep you happy and not filing it. Thats how I got my $20 total SRK, AND the original product

After all the good feedback on Fasttech service I guess my exceptions were high.

I don’t want free stuff, just a responsive seller who lives up to the claims on their website. I understand returning a 26650 is a total loss, so I would figure a site credit on my next order would be the easy solution.

The more I think about it the more I realize bitching about it is silly. Its just an $8 battery, at least I got one that worked. I’ve been burned for much more for past electronic purchases. PayPal refused to refund $50 a couple months ago on a software purchase that was total crap. I don’t buy software online anymore from third parties. H)

All four TF flame 26650s tested to 4200mAh minimum. All within 100mAh of each other. I think these ones are good.
