Only got into the GroupBuy BLF 348 coz I never in my life owned a Nichia219...honest...really....you know it's the TRUTH ! So never got off the Wagon....just reached out when going by Nichia Tree...
Nothing since the June 25th post made above, they never did send me a postage paid box to send back the damaged because of bad design though, so much for the lifetime warranty
The company says my experience should not happen and said they would send a return postage paid box.
I know from being a flashaholic its bad design, but they say its defective.
In the end i have an expensive unreliable flashlight from an “upscale” company that does not stand behind their lifetime warranty.
With my just getting billed for the last GB i was in, and Christmas coming, and me needing some home-stuff I am hopping on the wagon Let’s see how long I can hang on!
Honestly, there’s no lights I need on the GB horizon, can’t justify the Thrunite Ti that was tempting me, they’ve sold out on the V5 “buckle”, I have some light projects to do with what I already have on hand (does that count?), and many other projects/chores waiting I think I can go at least 2 months, maybe 3, without another purchase. Gonna try.
Today I saw a post about “look to your left… the first thing you see is what you would hoard as a dragon”. But I don’t think I need to be a dragon for this one. What I saw was a pile of bare-metal lights, and it made me realize I now have 16 different models:
Reylight BLF Ti
Sinner Cypreus
CNQG Brass 18650
CNQG Brass AA
Olight S10 Ti w/ MELD
Convoy S7
bare BLF A6
BLF X6v2 SS/Cu
BLF X5 Cu
BLF-348
DQG Tiny AAA IV
Cooyoo Quantum SS
DQG Fairy
stripped Zebralight SC52
Thrunite T10T
EagleTac D25A Ti
… and #17 on its way soon, I think, because someone decided it’d be a good holiday gift.
5 different metals, 6 different categories of button/twisty, 7 different battery types, 11 different families of emitter, 13 different UIs.
lol, good insight! By my measure, I kind of fell off the wagon because I recently bought something… for a friend… but only didn’t also get one for myself because of limited stock. :8)
By your measure, I have yet to start counting, which gives me a fresh start when I get some packages soon!
It’s “18sixfifty”s fault. He offered a well-modded C8 with 2 good cells for $20 with free shipping and I just couldn’t resist. Going for a restart to try again.
I didn’t buy any of the wonderfull BLF X5/X6 Astrolux S2/S3 neither aluminum or copper/steel. I’m proud of myself
I did, however, build my first triple S2+ with Nichia 219C and BLF A6 driver. I’m also proud of that…
Guess I’m still a flashaolic after all
