Floody flashlight: help me to choose configuration

I have read again your comment. 2,86Amps on a P60!!!!!!! too hot?????

Not too hot, just looking for fireballs to show up anytime. :D

Yes i'm well aware of p60 thermal capabilities but one can still wish since many said it isn't that hot. I had higher hopes. Well my p60 is really in barbecue category i stopped and pulled the cell out. By hand it was 55C at max. Would not dare to try go higher.

Ill try to do some shots when i find where the heck my wife put our poor excuse of a compact camera. Alot better than phone camera but nothing really worth of mention.

The first night with my C8, I decided to make a heat test with it. Well I were writing a mail and I forgot to check its temperature for 10-15mins. I grabbed the light the moment I realized that I had left it on and I almost got my hand burnt. A well driven XM-L still heats, but puts out more lumens at the same time. We were complaining about Xenons, Halogens being hot, making you think of LED's would be completely cold. There is no literally cold light as seen. Maybe using XM-L at 1800mA isn't that bad an idea at all?

That's what medium setting is for. :D About over 1 amp on partially depleted cell heats up just barely.

If you buy the mce don't buy the K bin..my friend had bought the m bin and also bought a p7 and another mce since he was so happy with the first 502 DX m bin ..After he recieved the new lights all I heard was wimpering and whining ..So i pass it along as something to be aware of ...AND i add my thoughts on 501b bodies as being horse dung .. just think a solorforce or even a fake solarforce even is a better idea than a 501 ...never saw such trash in my life .. threads begging to be cross threaded .light weight and ..just cheap ..aughh***

501 Body is not the best for SSC P7 or MC-E , good with a XR-E though ..

You may want the beefier 502B body , I have a warm D bin SSC P7 in mine , and I just love it ...
