You can use an app like Camera+ 2 to have more control over white balance

maukka and joechina, thank you both for your help

Not bad.
Thanks maukka!

@maukka thanks for your imgur spectrum tests of the Folomov LED
I took a snapshot, people who click the pic see your full tests

I still have not seen a review post by you on the light, is that in the works, I hope?
always enjoy your measurements…

Update
after living in the right front pocket of my jeans with keys, coins, and money clip.
One day I pulled the light out and it would not turn on

battery was at 2.65 volts

this tells me the Folomov had been turning itself on in my pocket, the driver wont work below 2.7v. I did a test and at that level High mode is less than 6 lumens. So plenty obvious the battery needs charging.

I already hated the UI, and I did not love the inaccurate lumen specs, but I put up with those issues because I like the LED and mostly use low modes. The realization that it drained itself in my pocket was a sad awakening.

otoh, this light wont leave you suddenly in the dark… since it wont trigger LVP, which I hear from maukka is at 2.5v

Question
I have the Folomov C1 and really like the tint and hi CRI from the E21A 3000k led.
My concern is the battery life.
No problem so far but a year from now if the battery fails it looks like I won`t find a replacement folomov.
I just measured the voltage at 3.7 and internal resistance at 123mΩ on the folomov battery.
I have some 10440 efest powerhouses at 3.7v and 115mΩ which leads me to believe I could use any 10440
3.7v cell.
Am I correct?

I am using "any 10440" (currently an EBL). The stock battery just didn't hold a charge very long. Seemed to self discharge very quickly.

Thanks,I was concerned about too much current smokin the LED:(

yes you can use any 10440, however, I would only recommend using Protected ones.

and, you should definitely recharge the ones you have that are at 3.7v.

3.7v is half empty, and LiIon does not benefit from deep discharge cycles. I expect to see 4.1v on a full cell.

Thank you, I appreciate your support. I meant 4.2v just a
a brain poofy!
