Found - a Bright Single AA flashlight. At a budget price of course.

i just verify to be sure and my trunite 10 run with a( AA cell ) not a aaa .

Hey Justin…. You’re like me…. Santa has come & gone and now we can be pickey for another 364 days!!!

Dan.

T-10 - AA two mode
Ti - AAA two mode

Both impress me, I gave them to my mum for Christmas (she back packs with a conservation group) she was blown away, I also gave her two bayou claws, so either light can be clipped to keys, bag, lanyard etc. This is my prefered set up - lanyard attached to pants with claw, 18650 edc :-

Or my new toy…

Plus my srm h03 (sub 3” blade limit over here)

This set up would work just as well with an AA light, it fits my jeans, never mind my contractors (cargo style) pants and as long as I remember to re clip what I use after use, I’ll never lose them. Over here, the knife connected to a left hand pocket by a lanyard is a real good idea - no chance of quick deployment so, more difficult to say a knife in the off hand pocket attached by a line is less use as a weapon, more a valued tool.

my trunite T10 have 3 modes ( 115 lumens=1.5hrs, 9 lumens=39 hrs, 0.09 lumens=147 hrs ) with memory nimh 2500 tested and work very well with alkaline .

the L10 and T10 seem to both be candidates, but just not right now. The moths all flew out of the wallet the last time I opened it.Smile I will have to do some searching for reviews on these lights and see how they stack up.

Thanks.

Old-Lumens,

Your first link looks like the winner to me!

The problem is, that when you search Tao, there’s too many hits. Got to be millions of lights over there.

I even found replica Maglites in 2D, 2C, 2AA and 1AA. I think I will have to get one of each, to mod. Half the price of Maglite incans. Endura - E9301, E9302, E9303, E9304

not quite what you’re looking for, as it has a larger head than body, but I really like mine. Single mode though and I’d recommend swapping out the XR-E for a 219 or a NW Cree. With a 219 it has a really nice mix of flood and throw, as opposed to the 90% throw with the XR-E. I’ve had them for a couple of years with no problems. Still, after spending $10-12 on the light, then $6 or so on the 219, you might as well get that L10 and save your modding time for something else.

Justin, you just coughrandomlycough won my 1,000 post giveaway and it happens to be one of the lights mentioned above. It’s pay-it-forward karma.

This is a AA light at $3.80 looks alot like this piece of junk.

This site is also the source for those Li-ion sleeves for “making your own” branded cells

remember?

WOW you are right, FAKE Maglites, is nothing Sacred?

@dchomak, I'm going to be ordering some of those soon. :P

They have no honor, copying our lights. I downloaded this image off their site. I can save myself alot of money, I’m calling this image a shot of my flashlight collection. 2 can play this game!

Now watch, someone from BLF or CPF will come on and say that IS their collection and
taobao-buying-agent stole it from them

I humbly thank you for your generous offer.

TAOBAO is nothing more than a Chinese version of ebay, run by Chinese. It's a marketplace designed for in China selling and the agents are just middle men, allowing people outside of china to buy from TAOBAO. There's tons of agents out there. They just play the middle man and buy what you want and ship to you. You can't buy directly from TAOBAO, so an agent is necessary. As far as what China sells, they have a different outlook. You can see it in the millions of copycat products they have.

Better believe that some of the knock offs are assembled in homes or very small businesses, run by family and friends. Cheaper to produce and a better living for the people doing it. The laws aren't the same there. It's just a fact, good or bad, but hey, we are still buying aren't we? Every time someone copies an expensive light, who buys it? Obviously someone does and many more than just a few do. I want to get a couple of the knock off Maglites, just to see the quality. I bet it's just as good as the new stuff Maglite is putting out right now, which is very poor, compared to their old stuff, but I will continue to use Maglites for my mods, till they just get too bad to use, or till the old man kicks off and the others turn it into "made in China" Maglites, or "Assembled in the USA" Maglites, which will be the way they go at first.

What kind of tree is that out your window? :stuck_out_tongue:

No, they’re genuine MagRites…

With side crickies.

I have a p31 great aa light

I just have to thank GottaZoom again, for the light. He brought it to me tonight and it's just amazing how bright a 1AA light can be! It's a Thrunite T10 and it will be my EDC light for work.

I also have to apologize as well. GottaZoom, I'm sorry.Cry I couldn't resist "taking a peek under the hood" when I got home. The temptation was just too much.Innocent

t10a1

Well, there's the guts of a T10.

The Mod thread will be started tomorrow... Probably.

Those wires were just so thin! And that pill was so thin too! I just couldn't help it, I swear!Smile

Everything on the light has been described as thin. Maybe I should pay a visit to Thrunite. I'm looking forward to whatever happens here. A better exuse (little white lie) next time, honestly, it was working one minute and the next it just stopped. I tried all the usual tricks with a hammer and in the end I found that the pulse resistor hooked up to the radium transistor blew causing a meltdown on the clear ceramic coating on the LED which fused the glass lens to the tailcap casing the diode to reverse polarity etc, If you get my drift. GottaZoom may be a little more sympathetic.
