The main reason for that EA01S purchase is to get the 26800 tube, tailcap, and 26800 battery, for the WP3 
Because you need the EA01S tailcap, for that 28600 tube, you can't screw the WP3 tailcap one on that 26800 tube.
And I can have EA01S with the 21700 and WP3 original tube/tailcap.
It would be awesome, if I could buy the 26800 tube and tail cup combo, for WP3, you can look into that.
I saw that my last suggestion with that rifle scope, as a cheap difuzer, or color filter, for WP3 was success, because you started offering it to buy on banggood.
So maybe look into that WP3 26800 tailcap problem, couldn't find astrolux tailcap EA01S anywhere.

I remember back when the ea01s was rumored to be coming out, and Mateminco was selling it on Alix or something, they had a small amount of sst20 ea01s.

Recent Omicron outbreak in the community, and news from Russia-Ukraine war are rather depressing for the month of March. 
If i am not wrong, there should be lesser flashlight releases for the coming months, due to inflation and China lockdown as well.
Chances are slim... I highly doubt BG would make a special order for SST20 unless Mateminco builds them voluntarily.
Btw, they are busy working on a new single cell model. Hence, older models usually get lesser attention.
Sorry to hear about the recent outbreak in your area. You bring up valid points, that with all of what is going on in the world the flashlight hobby becomes less of a focal point. And manufacturers have less ability and incentive to produce. Inflation.. that is a scary word nowadays...

Got My EA01S XHP50.2 26800 yesterday (or rather the 26800 tube and tail for my WP3 
)
First thing I did was to file off that lanyard hole, the edge is to sharp.
parasitic drain measurements of EA01S:
OFF - 25µA
LOW - 45µA
HIGH - 85µA
No blinki modes, for switch backlit.
Got over 15A for TURBO (it can be low because of astrolux 21700 4500mAh cell, or 2.5mm copper wire I tested with)
Some OPPLE Light Master Pro G3 mesurments of EA01S:

PWM is not visable, but it's there all the time, excluding turbo. and it's audible especially in high mode.

I would say yes, the XHP50 version draws about 30 amps with this (fully charged) cell on turbo and the SST40 version about 24 amps. Even the latter version generates more heat than this host can reasonably handle.
BTW - I own both versions and prefer the SST40 version. Due to the smaller and brighter hotspot and the longer turbo runtime, it is more usable overall.
