Which version will you choose? xhp or sst40? how far is the actual projection???
I heard if the projection is about 100m away. xhp version won’t be good
Try doing a search here for the EA01S. There are several threads with information, but Funtastic’s video review is especially good and provides comparison beams shots including FT02S if I remember correctly. And yes, in the videos beam quality for both version looks better then FT02S to me. Also the XHP50.2 beam seems smoother then SST40 but of course has the XHP tint shift.
Is Astrolux going to do 5700k In ft02s again? If so I will wait to order from you my friend.
they had it when the ft02s came out, so it's not like it's never been done before..
sorry I keep bothering you about this. I did buy the 6500k xhp50 EA01s from you/Astrolux. I just would really like the 5700k version if possible.
(To everyone who is going to say it- I know I can get the 5700k somewhere else. But I'd rather support freeme, AND, I like the battery tube of the Astrolux better :) )
Regarding the quad XHP50.2 variants (both EA01S and FT02S), as per my testing, these really do need very high-drain 21700 batteries like Samsung 30T (fully-charged), before the max “11000 lumens” (or somewhere close to that), can be reached.
Using partially discharged (eg. battery at 3.90v, and not closer to 4.1-4.2v), or using a fully-charged but not that high-drain 21700 (eg. Liitokala Lii-40A or Sofirn’s 4000mAh 21700), then the max brightness won’t be reached. I estimate a difference (using lux ceilingbounce measurements only - since I don’t have a light integrating sphere), I estimate a drop of around 2000 lumens less compared to using something like Samsung 30T (at the start of clicking “Turbo” level).
Granted, these are still extremely bright flashlights, and to our naked eyes, we’re unlikely to notice 7500 lumens vs 10000 lumens brightness…
thank you for this. I also own the MF01 Mini and i will order the EA01S just to test the differences for myself about handling etc. But you nailed it allready
