My alu is just fine although the soldering on the leds is child's play, as is my coworker's who bought one after seeing mine in action. I've used it a ton since I got it and he used it a lot recently on a two week camping vacation. The other day he said that it was working erratically but I think that was just a tail cap tightening issue...button felt fine to me. He does pocket carry a lot (I don't, or only in loose pockets) and I wondered if the leverage from the clip could possibly loosen up the cap or tube a little bit. I may do the o-ring mod for him if he experiences the same again and see how that does. His led wires looked ok as far as not shorting on the copper but neither of ours look great in that regard. Really happy with this light, quite a tiny powerhouse and on H10's it's just perfect (so to speak). My FW3A has also been fantastic but it was first batch.

No polished Ti in Nichia 5k? :frowning:

I went with TiCu. So sexy...

Just a piece of gitd tape on the inside wall of the head will also do the trick.

Thank you Correlux and TMaxxJJ, I appreciate the reassurance. I felt like all I heard about was the bad, and wondered if there were any "glitch free" out ther. But if course you usually hear more about the bad than the good. Glad to hear you like it so much Correlux !

im going to pull the trigger on this version, really want the all Titanium stonewash, but feel like the heat will be unbearable. Probably go CuTi or all copper. Wish Brass was here but looks like I'll just need to buy 2!

Thanks freeme, ordered, will brass be available too?

Ordered copper SST-20 4000k! Finally a small copper with decent runtimes and output that will not weigh a ton in the pocket! Would love to see brass as a choice and single emitter. Not a fan of titanium due to heat transfer or lack there of.

Ordered TiCu sst-20 4000k! Thanks freeme

when possible
could someone please tell me how much they weigh?
Ti Fwaa
Cu Fwaa
TiCu Fwaa

Weight: Approximately 40g without cells (titanium)

I wanted sandblasted/stonewashed with Cu.

Due to increase in raw material cost, flashlight prices have getting more and more expensive for 2021. Neal has gone through great lengths to keep the price competitive. So, remember to support us okay.

I copied you
ordered copper SST-20 4000k
+bundle w sapphire lens and battery…

thank you freeme for the great prices

If he offers that, I will order another one!

Ordered Polished Ti SST20 4k, would have liked the Nichia 5k but oh well.

Ordered a polished Ti Nichia 3000K. Thank you Freeme!

Order placed in ti-cu xpg3 Thanks freeme

I have 2 FWAAs and the switches work fine in both of them.

I did think the switches were a bit too easy to depress and might accidentally activate in the pocket, but I performed the same o-ring mod as with the FW3A and the switches in both are now much stiffer.

Overall, I’ve had no problems with my FWAAs. The FWAA’s switch appears to be less finicky than the FW3A’s.
