future model, long throw led lights???

Hi,

I was reading somewhere??? that a company is working on a extremity high lumen light with over a mile reach.
Should have written the info down.
Run time on turbo was to be at least 30 minutes.

Does anyone have any info?

Best,
William

I don’t see any possible way how could they achieve that in such small package… We are talking at least about 250kcd here.

Well. Laser maybe?

It wasn’t the BLF GT, made by lumintop?
Can be found here on the forum.

Maybe the acebeam X65? It’s probably the best high lumen thrower right now. 10K lumens and nearly a mile throw 587Kcd.

Yes, they are using a laser. Somebody wrote this in the German TLF Forum.
It’s probably a blue laser with Phosphor.
This also explains the high price for such a small light.

I wrote in german forums
I brought the idea for the BLF recoil project last year to get rid of the heat problem in such a light and it would likely also increase throw a lot
Cheap 445nm laser diodes are availible with 3W output

Someone found some special high temperature phosphor targets that were not cheap

They likely have the phosphor lit remotely by the laser diode or made a special laser diode that has the phosphor already on the chip
This way they get a way smaller light emitting area than with an LED, like in the laser headlights in some BMWs

I wait for THIS to come in a pointer.

to save costs they used a 405nm diode

quality of those modules is far from good
