(gb=closed) Only 50 lights were delivered and sent out, *BLF special* Romisen 365/400nm 2xUV SSflashlight, gb with Tinywind

I have three Gearbest orders that predate this one, none of those ever came, and they didn’t have to build and inspect the lights either.

We knew that this one was going to take a while.

None taken  Just that why have some people received theirs much earlier than the rest of us :frowning:

...still waiting for a status update from Saphire...

Waiting for the first report of someone that receives it, that didn’t pay for or get tracking.

Mine has left Hong Kong today….

See post 681.

It’s Chinese Oktoberfest, she’s probably face down on the table right about now.

I do hope rest of the lights will be shipped soon.
I didn’t mind waiting, but they have the lights in stock for 2.5 weeks now if I’m correct and mine still hasn’t shipped either.
Chinese holiday is also responsible for some delay, but still, at this point I feel I’m getting a bit annoyed with it not even being shipped yet.

Hi guys, news. I got this mail from Saphire, only 50 lights were delivered to Tinywind, 160 were 'lost' (and I thought that more than 210 lights were ordered, hmmm??)

It is what it is I guess, let's try to resolve this turn of events as well as possible. So I asked Saphire a few things:

-Who will receive a flashlight and who isn't? We would like to know that ASAP.

-Can people individually decide for a refund or wait for the new customised light? (I assume refund will always be possible)

-I like the T3 (e.g. its heat-path is much better), but how on earth will Trustfire make a dual emitter flashlight out of the Trustfire T3, it will require complete redesign? If they really do that, it will be very interesting, I would like to see that happening .

I paid on august 12th and still no shipping notice. Waiting on the refund informations.

That’s some bad news… But why can’t romisen just manufacture the lights again, instead of going with another factory?

Also, packages in China doesn’t simply get “lost”, the Chinese are very serious when it comes to shipping. Orders can be left in a corner of the warehouse and remain untouched for months, or mistakenly delivered to the wrong address, but they never get lost.

Anytime someone says “it is what it is” an angel loses its wings.

Thanks for the update. I hope the resulting drama won’t be too bad…

Well, if the shipment got ‘lost’, why on earth can Romisen not do a 160 run of the same item again. As much as I’m happy mine got shipped, I’m as dissapointed for the majority that didnot get theirs shipped.
I want to say that Djozz did a fine work getting us a custom quite rare item and it definetely is not his fault at what happened. About the ‘lost’ items, I am a bit perplexed.

Maybe:
i) It really happened.
ii) Maybe Romisen took the money and declared the items as ‘lost’
iii) Maybe Romisen hiked its price OR Tinywind is seeing it run this at too big a lost and they had to get this ‘solution’
iv) or could be another reason…

Nope, never.

It is my favorite Old Lumens quote :-)

And in this case very appropriate, because I'm not prepared to get angry and start shouting over what is my hobby. It does not mean that I lay back and let it pass, but that I'm being pragmatic: I try to get things done in a way that is satisfying for most people, the starting point is the current situation, and I do it together with Tinywind, not against them.

I understand the mindset, no use crying over spilled milk. I found this interpretation of the phrase on the internet.

Basically, @#$! happened. We don’t need to know the details. The people who can do something about it are doing something about it. Please hold while details and options are investigated.

Thanks for the update djozz.

I see now the full impact of the phrase I used :-)

(hmm, don't let OL see that  )
