Thanks, for the quick reply! Cool. Even if I wasn’t on the list it’d still be cool.
Thanks for organizing this… Sorry about the headache man. I know how these things go sometimes.
What I don’t understand is, it’s taken 10+ days for them to realise they only received 50 and not over 200 units. Something just seems a little fishy here. Even a badly run warehouse must have some idea of the stock coming in and out. And you’d sign for ‘x’ quantity. Not to mention the physical size of 50 units vs 210 would be massively and obviously different.
I don’t know what has transpired here, but there is evidently more going on than has been communicated to us.
I have to say, that while I don’t hold you djozz responsible in any way, I am still a little disappointed on what has transpired. I really liked the look of the host and the dragon on it.
I’m not against either potential solution, although I’d like to hold off making a decision until I know what they can actually offer in the way of an alternative host.
However, I think we would all like to know if there is the possibility for another batch of lights, even if it means waiting for them from Romisen. And if not, then why??
In the world of commerce and business this would seem straight forward.
If the correct number where produced and sent out, it’s a matter of what happened to them? If they failed to reach their destination, then that would the couriers fault. Of which Romisen would claim, but should be willing to refill the order.
Or they were never sent out.
Or they were received by Tinywind and something transpired afterwards.
It’s no so much about finger pointing, but it would be nice for sanities sake to understand a little of what has transpired. As someone else said, large shipments don’t just disappear, especially not when 25% of it seems to have made the trip. Something more than just loosing 150 torches has gone on here.
Oh boy... From one day listed and discounted to $17 and shipping in 1-2 days -- to this. Think I'd rather get a refund, or get something else off their site, like their UltraFire UF-T18 for modding.
No blame at all to djozz or Saphire - stuff goes wrong, sh*^ happens, it is what it is ... I believe Saphire is genuinely frustrated and upset. If their was a shot at getting more made that would be great - I'd stick it out for a while longer, but not interested in the T3, and pursuing a whole nother host from another manufacturer from scratch. That might go on for months, or at least several weeks.
Good we got a run of 50 out of the deal - agree with djozz.
So not only this strange tale about all of the results of misplacing some orders, but Rominsen has pulled the $19.99 version light from the market, and Tinywind?
They misplace some shipments and the light is impossible to redo?
I agree with djozz. I am curious to see what Trustfire have to offer…
I’d stick it out for a while longer, but not really interested in the T3 ( it’s pretty ugly)
As with all other things going wrong with chinese sellers and manufacturers, a lot of speculation is going on as to what has happened, and bad intent is always one of the accusations. I do not know either what exactly went wrong by whom, but conspiracies and bad intent is not really one of the first things that come to my mind.
It is not that a lot of money is made by anyone. Doing a 200 (or 50) unit production run of a flashlight that they already stopped making, with custom work, will not be the deal of the year for RoMiSen. And I believe Tinywind suffers a lot from how things are going, in extra work and in reputation, I can hardly believe that this is carefully planned.
I can imagine a scenario however, where people (anywhere in the line of handling, at Romisen, and/or at Tinywind) encountered that only 50 lights were there, that they started off with not telling the truth in fear of telling the bad news.
