Congratulations!
I believe my most useful post it here
That’s certainly not one that made the largest impact on BLF (not that I have many impactful ones…). Well, it made none. But I believe that the stuff I put there is the finest work that I’ve done on this forum.

I think my most useful thread was one where I was asking for feedback on a spring bypass and by the end of the thread I think I became 10x more knowledgeable on the subject thanks to everyone else’s contributions.
First time soldering anything. It’s a BLF A6 tail and driver spring.
The tail (first pic) spring was a double spring but I removed the inside short one cause I originally planned on doing this on the inside. You can see i got the spring a bit too hot and it deformed slightly. The wire was also too short. Any advice on where to put the wire at the bottom and top when you wrap it on the outside? Maybe some video with a closeup. I want to use silicone wire and not desolder braid.
I took measureme…
Thanks for GAW, Well I can’t hold a candle to you guys and your wealth of flashlight knowledge but I did post this awhile ago:

Keep those entries coming! Don’t forget, any kind of post (even just an “I’m in!”) will get you into the random drawing.

Heres one of my prior comments…
I could be talking out of my ’arse as a layman— but 2 criteria I can imagine
1- The comment about ArmyTek rings true for me— not because of the brand—
but because the ArmyTek light I have is POTTED. Dunno how potting affects
heat transfer, but I would imagine it would help greatly to add durability by
keeping components in place during drops and such.
2- I remember Forum discussions with Law Enforcement personnel about the evolution
of duty lights— and one criteria was that the beam be mod…

Congratulations on your milestone and great giveaway!
Please consider me in for this GAW, here are just two of my previous posts:
I have my S2+ converted to a Nichia 219c triple (I used this product ).
On a DD driver I get approx. 5-6 amps and, given the emitter profile, I would say I wish I had more. 219 with my bin/tint are not the newest and have more heat/less output. It is bright and looks great with high CRI though.
What are you going for, do you have a specific lumen output in mind?
ps: Welcome to BLF! I have been to Brazil once and I still remember what a beautiful country it is.
bands: Theraband gold, you can buy them locally or via ebay
tubes: good chinese tubes, Dankung or similar - again ebay or Aliexpress.
ammo: depends on what you want but steel balls or glass are available everywhere (ebay, AE, local hardware stores, hobby stores)
the slingshot itself depends heavily on what you like and what your shooting preference is.
Do you want to shoot through the fork? there are dedicated slingshot forums but the easiest way is:
Build your own slingshot with high qual…

Congrats on being a valuable resource for us on BLF, many thanks for all your posts and for the generous opportunity.
pilotdog68 - Since I am new to building drivers myself I thought the latest version would be the best. Apologies if that is not the case. I also checked the Oshpark projects @ BLF thread but I don’t know whether all drivers are in there (must be a ton of work to track all of that as well).
All I have is a hotplate to reflow solder the board, hence single-side only? I don’t know how to reflow a board with a hot plate / skillet and I can’t afford a SMD hot air rework station.

Thanks for the giveaway!!!
I’m usually the one asking for help, so I can’t really share a link.

I would assume (don’t know it though) that Gearbest is now a lot bigger than before, with a lot more employees? How many folks actually work at GB? that would be good to know.
A “day in the life of Gearbest” video would be awesome.
Consider me in - many thanks.
Late entry and not I’m not very technical or ‘flashlight helpful’ but I try to provide encouragement and positivity here. Either way thanks for doing this!!

good that you have a screenshot, for yourself and AE support. the only explanation then would be a typo in the email address? does the screenshot include any order numbers?
if the order/payment went through and you put in the correct address…. I guess you’ll receive the goods in 3-4 weeks?
I used to have a leather strop for my shaving knife, but that was a very time-consuming way of sharpening it (on top of the shave that also took more time than a double edge safety razor).
Is it easier on pocket knives?
Thank you for the gaw and congrats for your posts.
Hoping I would still be considered for this.

I didn’t feel it right to pick a “most useful” post; I think all well-intended contributions here are valuable. So I drew a random for helpful and random , but did pick the entertaining winner. Without further ado, the winners are:
Helpful: bmengineer
Entertaining: DavidEF
Random: G0OSE
Congrats guys! bmengineer, take your pick. Once we have that, chime in with yours from the remaining, DavidEF. After we figure out who gets what, I’ll PM ya’ll and arrange delivery.
