At least you got a refund. I was supposed to receive a Convoy S2+ UV that I’d ordered from Gearbest’s US warehouse but didn’t. I called FedEx and they told me that the package was lost so I put in a ticket with Gearbest and they keep saying just wait, just wait. I don’t think so…I filed a claim with paypal…it’s a pity that I had to go that route.
Similar thing happened to me, I also ordered Convoy UV while it was on sale, was about 15$ + I used points that I had to drop that to ~13$, but, no flashlight after 30 days, I started a ticket, they asked me to wait 2 months from estimated delivery date ( so that’s 3 months from my payment) and I knew I wont find that light for such a great price any time soon so i waited, paypal has me covered for 180 days so there was nothing to loose, on 64th day I contacted them again (third contact on this issue) they offered to resend the product or to refund me, ofcourse I opted for resend which they did and after another ~30 days I had my Convoy UV light and I am very satisfied with it.
Lost packages is something that happens all the time and it is best that you prepare yourself for this scenario.
I had lost packages from ebay, aliexpress, dinodirect, wallbuys, banggood, gearbest, fasttech, DX, I even had one quite valuable package that I ordered from respected member of our forum also lost and the only place where I actually lost money was ebay (it was something like 7$ so not that big of na issue) .
There are only 3 advices I can give:
- if you need something urgent order from local trusted seller
- if you order from overseas always go for tracked (registered) shipping option
prepare yourself, no one is excluded from this game, more you order the higher the chances are that something will get lost.
