Ahh the SST-40, my least favorite LED of all time. The ones I’ve seen (4000k or 5000k I think) were cat urine green. The folded over clip end looks like it would catch on things. I’m dubious this is made in the USA. Box says designed in the USA and their other product is a tactical shovel.

Folks, to be clear (and I have corrected the title to say this), this light was DESIGNED in the USA, not made there. Sorry for any confusion.

„American-made“ with LED known of cheap Chinese flashlights.
Looks like rebranded Chinese OEM product. Hopefully I am wrong, but we had similar „marketing“ here in BLF several months ago.

The SST-40 is one of the worst LED to choose for such a light. XHP50.3 HI, SFT-40 or even some round die emitters (like „YLX N3535B“ or similar) would be much better.

Yep, no offense, but I don’t like the SST40 either.
I prefer SFT70, XHP70.3 HI, or SFT40 (in that order) for somewhat larger (1x18650 or 1x21700) lights.
The SFT70 doesn’t get much love on BLF, but I never said that I was normal. :stuck_out_tongue:
