It would be nice if a firm like FastTech could resell these old school metal flashlights, they have the ability to buy in bulk and sell and ship small quantities cheap and slow. I suspect that these brass flashlights would sell pretty good then. Could even sell them as a host, prepared for modding. Especially if there were some suggested mods with part lists.

Hi Mr. Memon. We have quite a few India made torchlights on sale retail here in Malaysia. Good prices, but they’re all incans and use primaries. The technology is a bit dated, but they are still quite reliable. I do buy them to salvage reflector and/or some just for keeps - nice old-school lights for collection.

I never seen any Indian’s flashlight in shopping mall? Where did you see them?

Fancy shopping mall won’t carry these for sure lah… why look for these over there.

Gotta set the scope more towards kampung (rural), try to look around at pasar malam, or older Chinese/Indian shop. I still find these around, as older customers still buy these and just prefer simple incan bulb and D batteries. The steel one also doubles as club.

But younger shops/vendors are not interested in carrying these, and so are the younger customers in buying them. All the more reason to stash a couple or so of these vintage for keeps.
