Help Me Select My Birthday Flashlight

CPF, bigchelis. I definitely read 7x k.

Ok it's here. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?322212-Best-Two-Cell-Thrower&p=3745288&viewfull=1#post3745288

I did more searches, seems like some others get 57k or something. Anyway....

I'm still waiting for the T40CS!

So which out of these is the better thrower?

And I just got my best offer from the seller on the Olight SR50 SST-50.

$96 for you , it's the best price

That's tempting me right there.

For size, price and throw I would choose between STL-V2/STL-V6 and Crelant 7G5. Too bad no tests yet for the 7G5, but coolperl it's gonna do it.

I am thinking hard on that Crelant 7G5.

But I am also liking this.

I always wanted a light saber. Lol . This is a good price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OLIGHT-SR50-Intimidator-SST-50-LED-Flashlight-Box-Set-/220648942993?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item335fb3ad91

At the given headsize of the SR50 a XM-L would beat it in throw because is smaller than the SST-50. Plus the XM-L is more efficient.

That can't be the real thing? True blue? The headlights look ok, but it looks more like a Blue led. Even though that it's not that hard to achieve, if the white balance was set to very warm, and the led is 6700 Kelvin. And then increase the saturation in PS. I presume it could be a real shot. .

My ordered FandyFire STL-V6 (DX) just changed to "packing", so it seems to be available again.

Wow, that was short back order :O

I don't know. Watch this video and it would be hard for an XM-L to do much better in my honest opinion. Scroll down and watch.

That Olight has a 63mm head on it.

And I'm going to guess the quality on this light will be better than all the other lights listed here.

When this video was released there weren't any XM-L throwers (that's one of the best Goinggear videos, usually there's some sort of fuzzy/haze) I haven't said it would do much better, but it would do better since you wanted the "best". Thrunite Catapult used to use SST-50 but they went XM-L and got better results. There are various people that have changed the SST-50s with XM-L in their flashlights but not many. Some don't know how, some don't have the skills, some don't get it, and some just don't want touch a Brand name flashlight. So that why you won't hear many talk about how better is XM-L compared to STT-50.

The Olight SR50 quality should be good. The Crelant 7G5 has square threads. :) I have a big brand flashlight that has disappointing me for what I paid for it, worse threads than some cheap $13 Romisen. However I don't own dozens of flashlights that I don't use, so it's easier for the one that just collects things and bestows them with shelf life.

Hey and I appreciate your input. I for one don't know. I think that Olight is a great deal though. But I got to think on it. And that's why I ask for you guys input. I am listening believe me.

Ok seller just informed me that the Olight comes with 2 battery carriers but no silver box that he has shown. Now tell me why do sellers do this crap? That ticks me off. Not that I have to have the case, but why show the damn thing if it isn't included?

That's BS , I also get ticked with that crap.

Well the Crelant 7G5 is strongly being considered. I'm going to think on it. I still like the looks of that Olight SR50 though. But it's really more than I want to spend.

Here's a good video of the Olight SR50 SST-50 comparing it to the Olight SR51 XM-L.

And I found a way better deal on this light including silver case and holster. I would have to buy the extra 18650 carrier for like $10 shipped from batteryjunction.

This one may just have my name on it. I really like the looks of it.

Here it's slightly better
