HELP--Needed in buying Convoy C8 AK47

Checking the CONVOY C8_AK47_ 7135*8_–8 modes.

I need some help and have questions about the light.

1—Which LED type in this C8 AK47 is the brightest ?

2—Which online company sells the best C8 AK47 ?

3—Is there a BLF coupon somewhere to lower price ?

4—Is there a comparable LED light in same $$ range ?

Send me your help and opinions.

1. XM-L2 U2 would be the brightest currently available LED emitter for this light.

2. The only company I can speak from experience on with that particular light is banggood.

Select smooth reflector option for best throw.

3. The coupon code “BLF” used to work, but may not for that light. And honestly, do you need - better yet, would you trust - a light cheaper than that? A sub-$17 light that performs this well is already spoiling.

4. The XINTD XM-L2 U2 light from IO would compete nicely…

But it’s more expensive, if also of slightly better quality still. But both of these lights are great lights.

Believe me, my friend, you don’t want to be asking what is cheapest in THIS price range. You can bid for sh!#t on ebay and score some -$10 deals, but odds are, you’d hate what you get. I (and many others) talk from experience.

Why is it called a 'C8 AK47' when the driver is a 105C? An AK47 is a single-sided 4x7135 board.

AK47 is a 3x 7135
AK101 is a 4x 7135

OK, but... neither of those is the driver used in the 'C8 AK47'.

Joe: I just ordered this Convoy C8 from Banggood.
I was having problems with the order, because I
went to their website and found the C8 sku #106111
instead of sku#106113. They are different variations.
I wanted sku#106113. I figured it out and got straight.
What’s the difference between the XML U2-1B and
XML2 U2-1A ?—Is there a mistake in the listing of the
XML U2-1B ?—Is it a XML2 U2-1B ? Just so that you
know, the BLF code is good. The info about this light
that you gave in our PM’s and here is #1.

My opinion, get one from Simon

edit: sorry wrong topic

Remember , I’m fairly new to the BLF.—Who is Simon ?

Where is he connected to ? :~

This guy! 30%-50% discount / Free shipping / Coupon--------Shenzhen Great Wall Technology(Simon) Convoy-Flashlights

He’s not connected to BG, he’s apparently connected to Convoy and maybe some other brands. He’s considered a legit “direct” source of Convoy products.

FYI in order to find his threads (I can’t always remember) I just Googled these terms:
site:budgetlightforum.com simon

FWIW Simon doesn’t seem to call it the C8 AK47. I suppose that BG noticed something to do with the term AK47 in their analytics and decided to drop the term into the name/title for that product. It would be interesting if we discovered that they’d peppered trending terms into the names of products across their catalog…

NightSpy, you and comfychair are into this AK47.
What is the difference and purpose of these two
and the meaning of 3x 7135 and 4x 7135 ?
I’m trying to find info about LED flashlights. :weary:

You should be able to see the answers to your questions pretty quickly there.

XM-L is an emitter type. XM-L2 is another, the newer, more efficient version. U2 is the bin. 1A, 1B, C etc. are tints (warm white, neutral white, cool white, etc).

wight: Thanks for the info and providing the links to

answer my questions. Your help is appreciated.

I think the AK47 designation for the light is just an unfortunate coincidence.

Whoever named it was probably thinking

I just purchased the light. Bought it from Banggood.
I’ve seen some bad comments about their shipping
and long arrival times of products , if they arrived,
that were bought from them. I just hope it doesn’t
turn into a long , 35 to 45 day delivery thing for me.
