Thanks for your help. I’d love to get your take on them after they’re in your hands. I’m leaning towards XML as more floody would actually be more practical for most of my uses. I do like that the XPG will run a little longer.
Runtime...Don't let max runtime scare you. There's always a lower mode if you need more 
I'm betting both the xpg and xml pull nearly the same current off of 2 AA's in max mode, but since I haven't tested it yet I'm only pulling that speculation out of my arse.
It would be cool to find beamshots of these two lights; even better if they’re side by side. I’ll have to do some digging online later tonight when I have some more time.
Who helped…they Quark Turbo arrived! It’s a nice light, really. It will be much handier as far as slidding it in a pocket, etc. I like that I can program 2 modes that I want to use all the time and the others are there if needed. It isn’t quite what my PA40 was however…it really had a nice beam with that XML.
The E01 is decent, really, but it looks to have a fairly purple/blue hue to the beam…not sure if that’s normal.

…at least for me. The PA40 was found!!! I’m probably humoring myself to think anyone was following or remembers my pathetic, sad saga with my lost PA40, but I wanted to post this to set the record straight. I was searching in a box of miscellaneous things (mostly junk) in my basement work room (aka “the oversized closet”) and there it was!!! The only explanation I can think of is that my 3 year old grabbed it while I was unpacking from my trip and why he put it there…??? (Let me know if any of you have figured out what 3 year olds are thinking. I’m not convinced they are thinking, but anyway…). I did scour the house thinking he’d taken it, asked him as well (yes, I know, useless), asked all my kids, wife…we were all looking and I thought we’d turned over “every rock”.
And, FWIW, I called the manager at the hotel and apologized…I may have been a little short with them, as I was convinced I’d left it there. He was very cordial about it.
Anyway, I’m SO happy about this! It’s like Christmas came early!
