Just in case you’re wondering. Mine is more yellow (4300k), while the video I’m posting I’m guessing is a 6000k 75w version.
that guy is wierd in a funny way hahah. that light didnt seem that bright when he was shining at the houses though.
Now I’m droolin’ over the 85 watt monsters! >) Lol! After reading some of the other posts, I would still like to check out the led’s as well. What are the pros and cons of the different battery types? The light would probably get used in half hour increments, and would probably have 4 to 5 hours of resting time between uses, so I guess charging times should be a consideration as well.
The AC Adaptor is 12.6V @ 3A. The battery is a 3x3 configuration of Li-on rated 7800 mah (chinese rated). On the battery guidelines it says, max recharge shouldn’t surpass 24 hours. So I’m guessing 6-8 hours to fully recharge.
Ok now, looking at that video… My 35 watt HID seems just as bright and from the looks of it I seriously doubt even a 1km range on that monster. Gotta admit though I laughed watching that video but I enjoyed it.
The main advantage of HID is better throw (lighting things up very very far away, >100-200m) because the surface brightness of the plasma arc is higher than semi emitter.
You can get LED lights which use AA or C/D batteries. Lithium batteries (the loose type used in most powerful LED lights) are better, but require another charger and slightly less safe if you crappy ones.
