Good luck with this. Even large retailer like DX went totally swamped last year… it was horrible. Took 3-4 months to get shipments back to normal. I can’t imagine how busy they were after the holidays
Well, my country is just a little more than an HOUR away from HK, with plenty of flights in a day, but still my package from FastTech sat in HKpost for than half of its 11-day trip. (the package was shipped the next day after my order!) I blame the courier, not the sender.
In my experience, Hong Kong Post is a bit more predictable than the China Post or Singapore Post, but still quirky. Here is a very recent experience for me.
On Jan 11, I placed two orders at FT. They are very similar orders – about 5 small items each, no batteries or anything that could appear suspicious for security or customs.
On Jan 15, FT shipped both orders at the same time.
On Jan 16, tracking showed “Acceptance” for both packages at HK.
On Jan 21 – i.e., yesterday (a postal Holiday) – tracking showed one package reached my local post office and the other one hasn’t even left HK yet!
It’s a shame that Fasttech’s staff don’t share the same enthusiasm and conscientiousness as their management. That packaging is shocking at best.
It seems like Fasttech is quickly becoming everyone’s ‘go to’ favourite seller in China, but if these packaging standards continue they will lose customers fast and completely ruin their reputation as a reputable seller IMO.
Sorry to see that CheapThrills… no doubt the reflector is ruined ?
According to Fasttech they have already corrected these packaging issues. Not sure when this order was placed, but there's really no reason to doubt the responsiveness to issues such as these.
We should hope this was before they fixed the packaging. BUT, most assume fasttech is superior to everyone, but they really are not.
My packaged took many days before it got shipped (slower than many other orders)
I have a little experience with customer service. It is good, but they failed to reply to me when they said they would.
The 1 day working day was neither in time.
Product knowledge does not seem to be very high.
When that is said. They are good at customer service. Just not always as fast as I would wish. I still “promote” products at fasttech if they get nice stuff at nice prices, and also because they are good at customer service. When that is said. They are far from perfect, and things can be improved.
I think there was a lot of undeserved wallbuys complaints a little while ago, and a lot of fasttech hype at the same time. For me, after trying them both. Things have evened out. They both have flaws. Generally, I prefer fasttech though, even though they did not live up to the speed I have hoped for.
I do believe fasttech will sort of the reflector issue without problems. But please tell us how it goes…
I bet they were just randomly in a bag and just happened to end up like that
If the pill was properly screwed down to reflector, it could have saved the day.
Well, there were springs loose also…
I ordered a fandy copy of the sky ray king and four batteries about a week ago through Pay pal. Right now, on the fast tech site under my orders, it’s telling me there are no orders. No email confirmation of the purchase but pay pal has confirmed payment.
I’ve had two small orders through with no issues, but then both were under $20. Even so I think you’ll find they have a ‘gift’ for sensible declarations
Customs doesn’t trust much those gift declarations coming from a Chinese company… Here in Spain they are checking many of those orders. For me its better to have a legit declaration, and I’ll take care to make orders under 22€. In some situations like a 60€ light, should be possible to retouch that declaration, but not systematically. If all packets come with that trick, is not a trick anymore. (I know now is late to fix the problem…)
