How did we do? (FastTech.com)

I got informed earlier by your customer support, which is according to you is supposed to work only Monday to Friday and not on a Sunday, that it takes 2 full working days to ship an order, so it is shipped on the 3rd... (I personally feel we are starting to make excuses here...)

Quoting from your FAQ: "Items that are in stock are shipped in 1 to 2 business days". Getting an order in the AM means it is/can shipped max on the 2nd business day... at least this is what I know from experience...

Please use Singapore post! They are more efficient!

Yes i did, but a lot of time ago.

Anyway SG post worth a try.
How can i specify this option with next orders ?

Hi Jasmine, I’m curious. How would you ship the goods from China or HK via Singapore Post? Is this an option that is available to you directly in China/HK or do the goods have to be shipped to Singapore first then sent out via Singapore Post? If it is the 2nd scenario, wouldn’t this add to the total shipping duration? Thanks.

Adding Singpost as another shipping option would be great ;)!

Not for my last 2 package sent via Sing. - 1st was lost and 2nd sat in country for over a week.

Registered SingPost is very fast and you can track items in 3 or 4 days.

Singpost is hit or miss! They can be very fast at times, but when they’re swamped, they immediately switch to scared turtle mode, even worse then HK or CN. Things just stop moving.

HK has always been the consistent one, even when they’re swamped, they move at slower pace but seem to maintain their FIFO service (CN switch to LIFO when peaked).

Thanks everyone. It seems that the experience with Singapore Post is pretty mixed.

We’ll probably do a time limited trial by adding a new Singapore post shipping option on the checkout screen, after the CNY holiday. I’ll keep everyone updated on this.

Regarding the question on how we’ll send these: we actually forward these from Hong Kong to Singapore via a specialist carrier. Cost-wise it’s about the same compared to Hong Kong Post, however, the extra leg of shipment (HK->SG) actually adds 2 extra business days to the shipping process. This is why this option wasn’t available in the first place. Unless SG is super efficient, there is probably no advantage to use it.

There are some technicalities we need to work out to make this happen. Give us some time and we’ll update here on this.

Jasmine

I just placed 3 new orders and I got to the end “order confirmed”, but none of the orders show up in my account!?

PayPal had a major server issue just now:
https://www.x.com/content/update-2-major-impact-express-checkout-paypal-apis-virtual-terminal-and-website-payments-pro

They have got it fixed now and we are in the process of downloading and restoring orders from PayPal. This should be done within 30 minutes an hour.

Sorry about the wait.

UPDATE

All orders placed while PayPal was “down” are now showing up in FastTech accounts. They appeared to be down and returned erroneous payment result codes to our servers, yet they have taken payment from customers. Shame on PayPal :frowning: .

Explains the problem I had on another website earlier tonight.

Thank you for keeping us all updated

Hear ye! Ask and ye shall receive! Teflon wires are in! 300m for $15! Non-teflon single core copper 250m for $8!

I guess I’m one of the requesters of high temp wires… oh oh… now it would be rude not to buy them. This is me wallet -> :_(

I’ve heard great things about Teflon wires.

One thing I’m wondering is isn’t 30AWG wires a little bit too thin for 3A loads for LED’s?

I’m sure they’re better than stock wires that come with drivers though.

This is also happening with two of my orders - A011786768 & A012075692

Parcels stuck for so many days in HK is not usual (to me anyway, and I receive 2-3 shipments per month from there)

Jasmine - Can you tell us when the NiteCore EA4W will be in stock ?

We’ll start offering Singapore post as an option during check out. This will at least give everyone the power of choice.

Existing orders (placed last week under the 7-business day shipping scheme) will start shipping. I don’t have an exact date for taking new orders yet. I encourage you to register for a product alert so you’ll get an e-mail as soon as it’s available.

According to Nitecore, a really really really big online store (not going to name anyone here) isn’t playing nice on the EA4W’s MAP policy and when Nitecore contacted them, they use us as their excuse. We have switched our list price back to what they want for now. This is so ugly :frowning: .

I ordered some Xml T6 and Drivers Drivers https://www.fasttech.com/products/1076400 and other bits and pieces on the 17.01.2013 and had it in my hot little hands on 24.01.2013. OMG.
I also orderd some items from DX on the same day and it has been untrack able and stillllll not here and not to mention split into 3 seperate orders and 2 of them are by DHL, will i wait few more days was the responce. Like I have a choice. :Sp & :weary: of waiting.

Just out of curiosity, are these orders carrying lithium cells inside ?

In addition, are these orders with following tracking status :

The item (RCHK) is being processed for departure from Hong Kong as of-Jan-2013

?

Thanks for answering my question, Jasmine. I guess whichever is faster and cheaper works best for me.
