Yes, may be that’s the reason if they take from certain distributor for all that products.
More like manufacture involved in this matter for me.
In my theory, they already trying very hard all this time to make their product as premium one. When suddenly FT appear with lower price and followed by other reseller, suddenly their “premium image” began to crumble. So they must act fast (with hard way if necessary) to protect it.

This is how I see it. When I see the price of TM26 jump from $230 to $3whatever, I say who cares? Even at $200, you can get an SRK for $30-$50!!! And unless you have them side-by-side, you would not notice an output difference. The build quality differences, to me, do not warrant a 4x higher price.
Not an SRK fan? No problem, the Black Shadow Terminator is a closer fit and it can be had for around $100.
See, we do have options other than trying to change the business world from what it is.

I do not get pissed when I miss out on the premium brands or when they use a heavy hand to force prices up. There is always a budget alternative to the premium lights. Vote with your wallets, people. Unless you’re a collector (I probably fit that category in some way), look at it from a value perspective.
If having that light is worth the price, then go for it. If it doesn’t, pass on it and look for the alternative.

Well, as a buyer I love the fact I could get some Nitecore’s and Sunwayman lights for prices I could never imagined when those lights first came to market. But I also feel the frustration when I see a light I bought for $60 sold at $40-45 so proudly. I can understant liquidations, promotions, limited time offers those you can only feel slight guilt of missing one, but I just can’t justify how fool I am by buying a light at the first time.

Keeping the slight low price was better for everyone. I could decide to pay the small extra to buy it from the US (if I were in US) or choose Fasttech and wait for a little bit longer (although it isn’t always true). I could still hunt for small price drops, add a few to combine shipping, etc. That would be more fun than feeling like a fool every now and then :slight_smile:

I suspect the same, at least, that was my impression after reading what Vivian of Crelant wrote.

But I also think other dealers have complained about FastTech’s low prices to their distributors. Who knows, there could also be some disgruntled buyers who want to protect their premium “investments”!

We’ve been focusing on order fulfillment lately to avoid shipping delays caused by the earlier Dragon Boat Festival, some of the suppliers / manufacturers took 3 days off and caused some stock supply issues, we worked very late to catch up the shipment and tickets in the past week. I apologize to the customers whose order has been affected by this.

Sorry about the MAP issue, we had no choice but to adjust the prices of the branded products to meet their MAPs, otherwise we can only discontinue selling them because there is no way we can obtain the stock under the MAP pressure. Thanks for finally commenting on these changes Jasmine. It is not good to let too much speculation run wild in these threads but - it is in your best interests to keep us informed. I understand that was probably difficult to do in light of current restrictions.

I still don’t understand why they can’t have coupons codes posted on here?? Domestic dealers sure do and they are not having issues with it. I think FastTech would then do better with giving you a partail refund back to your PayPal AFTER you’ve made the full purchase, I know one Dealer that does that. This way it will stop “dealers” from playing the game of “hey I want to buy a light how much off will you give me?” only to find out it was a dealer fishing with no intent of reallying purchasing anything.

You commit to a purchase and then within 24hrs FT would give you a partail credit back to your PayPal account; thus is complies with MAP. ie: it sold for full price.

Jasmine, this would be just about the same that you did for the Flex Asgard, except I’d recommend to have the person that placed the order put in the order comment fields their BLF ID and then within 24hrs they get a partial PayPal rebate/refund. I know of one domestic dealer that has been doing this for years and I think it works out well and solves all MAP issues, I’ve purchased many times from him that way.

Jasmine please read - I made an order for 2 Sunwayman D40A, very quick shipping. Arrived today, but there’s only 1 in the package!! I’ve taken photos and sent them via the ticket system. The funny thing is, when I look at the photo taken by Fasttech in my order page, I can see that the box outline in the package is only 1 box.

Perhaps back-ordered or split into 2 shipments?

I know they’ve been out of stock on the D40A, I have a large almost $300 order that didn’t ship for over a week because the D40A was on backorder but they came back in stock yesterday so it might have been split in 2 shipments

The invoice inside was marked as 2. Not record on order of split shipment or another shipment pending.

Maybe you guys are right, could be, I’ll wait to hear from Fasttech.

If the slip says two, there should be two in the package. In my split packages, the invoice matched the package, not the order. I’m sure they will address this just fine. Did you submit a ticket?

Yes you are right. The slip says 2 and the label on the package says 2. But there is no way you could fit two in that size package!

I’ve raised a ticket and attached photos.

+1 whilst i do have a cr*p load of fenix…olight…jetbeam…thrunite…sunwayman…nitecore etc, i found an interest in “alternatives” to these lights by joining this great forum !. must admit looks like a bs terminator (u3) is coming my way very soon and probably a roche… and maybe when i have more time… due to the great info/people on this forum, ill have a pop at building my own :slight_smile: you will soon see when i start buililding my own… by the threads started by me as ” oh dear looks like i smoked another light guys” :slight_smile: lol

I think my two disputes are almost solved. There are tracking numbers for both. After the items are received, the only thing left is the reimbursement for the return shipping on the defective item. It's been much more involved than I would have liked, but at least it seems to be working out. I'll place more orders with them when I get the reimbursement.

UPDATE: I sent them a reminder about the shipping reimbursement after I posted this, and I got it a few hours later. As promised, I just placed two more orders.

Update - Fasttech checked with their stores/shipping dept. They are now sending out another D40A to me to replace the missing one.
All comms were very polite and in clear English, couldn’t ask for more really.
Fantastic customer service as fair as I’m concerned.
