How do you store your flashlights?

I have a black stand like this that used to be my media center stand. My media center got upgraded and now this thing sits near the middle of my apartment acting as a sort of side table. Currently my flashlights hang out on the top shelf with the batteries installed. I might have to adjust my strategy if it starts to look too cluttered though. It’s getting close.

I store mine all over the house with the tail caps slightly loose. My wife still hasn’t figured out that a quick turn and they work. I love her frustration on all these broken lights around the house. None work when she needs them.

that’s why you have to keep buying more. darn things just don’t last long.

“I threw out all those broken lights that were just taking up space.”

I don’t “store” my flashlights, at all, really. I use them. My Fenix E12 v2.0 is my EDC, so it lives in my EDC survival kit pouch in my handbag. My Fenix HM23 is for backpacking/camping, and it lives in my backcountry handbag/”possibles” pouch. My Fenix PD36 TAC is primarily my bicycle headlamp, so it lives in its Fenix ALB-10 bicycle handlebar mount on my bicycle, which I park in my living room next to the front door, or I toss it in my handbag if I’m using it by itself. My Inova X1 is my bedside light, so it sits on my bedside table.

The only flashlights I can really say I “store” are the ones I no longer use, which at the moment are just sitting in a drawer next to my bed. I suppose I should probably put them in the Plano tackle box in my junk drawer in the kitchen, in case I want to ever use them (Leatherman Serac S3, Bushnell something or other 2xCR123A, and a SwissTech squeezy I hate), or just get rid of them.

I use a Klein Tool pouch model nr. 5139. It holds my handheld lights, batteries, and O rings.

I like to look at the lights in the evening and decide in the morning which one will accompany me for the day.

Why do I feel like lockpicking that glass display case…

On the lamp and in lazy susans(5 ball bearings for easy spin) :sunglasses:

I bought a Pelican 1535 case recently to transport my flashlights when I go on trips. It’s super pimp and has an extendable handle and wheels. I feel like if something hits this case and damages the flashlights (sitting in foam) then I probably have other things to worry about! (tree falling on car, richter 9.0 earthquake, etc)

I use a storage box like this.

This is by far the most impressive. When your guests can look at the collection and stare, you know you have something special.

It is indeed lovely. I wish BLF had a “like” button like other forums

WOW!!! This looks Amazing! Did you build the cases your self? I store my flashlights in Pelican cases but have been wanting to build a shelf case with mirror backing and low level lights to display them. I love the stands you keep your flashlights on!! I have 70 flashlights right now and would like to display them like this. :+1:
