I just today got a ThorFire BD04 + rear bicycle light, and a modded G36. The above list doesn’t include a Gyrfalcon All-88 8-bay charger. It doesn’t help that this was all for “christmas” presents to myself and APO shipping has a loooong lead time.

My order history isn’t logical/rational because I know nothing about flashlights other than I’ve bought more than a dozen inexpensive, no-name ones on eBay and am generally satisfied with those.
But one day I stumbled upon some flashlight information on the web, and I began wondering what the difference is between the premium stuff and the < US$5 eBay lights.
At present my only premium light is a green Olight keychain light, which has been a solid little light for the month I’ve owned it.
(I ordered and received a Nitecore TIP in blue, but I’ve decided to give that to my father-in-law for Christmas, so I haven’t opened it.)

I chose warmer or neutral white where I could.
The Klarus G30 is for my mother. I’m giving that to her for Christmas to replace one of those old NiCd big plastic searchlights whose battery is shot. That thing is unwieldy for my eighty-year-old mother, so I figured she’d like this Klarus light if it’s bright enough.
That’s way too many, but I’m looking forward to discovering the differences between these lights and the less expensive lights I have.
I’ve also ordered a tritium mini-lantern from Tec Accessories and a green tritium vial from Merkava Glowrings. This is for my keychain.
I have a question. When a person who lives in the US orders from Banggood and chooses priority shipping, how long does the shipping status on the item stay at “Origin Post is Preparing Shipment, We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece”? I have some orders that have stayed that way for five days.

Those will be a heck of a lot better than the $5 eBay specials.
Origin Post prep is the variable zone btw. It can land in the US the next day or it can take a week or several to hit the US. I’d just check it once every 3-5 days to make sure it didn’t get returned to sender or something rare and odd like that.
I just went through some previous orders with BangGood and the average is 7-8 days from “Origin Post is Preparing Shipment” until it shows in the USA.
Then after that you are at the mercy of the customs, USPS etc.
These things tend to come in bunches, you will get a boatload one day and then nothing for a few more days, but by an d large they will show up.
Then it is HAPPY TIME !
Keep in mind my orders checked were not Christmas Season so add a few days.
