Well i’ve been lucky. Ban jumped in and first order arrived. After few days got an email with tracking number of other order as well.

A follow-up to my earlier post. My third order arrived a couple of days ago. Only one problem, one of the items was missing. The only indication, besides its absence, was a little “X” marked in pen next to it on the packing list.
I’m double-checking the communications to see if they mentioned this and I just missed it. I’m guessing this part (some red orings) was at the heart of the original one month delay.
I placed a fourth order. A couple days later I was provided with a tracking number that seems to work.
Definitely try contacting BanL through PMs here, though in my experience, there can be some long delays in response there too.
Too bad, sorry to hear that “eas”. I was hoping for some positive results from Kaidomain, but that’s bad for buisness. They have so much stuff I want to order that I cannot find anywhere so far. There are more reflectors I want to order from them, but I’m not now. Just want a refund and move on.

I placed my first KD order on May 14th, free shipping and it arrived in the US today. I was expecting to wait longer.
Used to be able to source exceptionally good grade sapphire and Borosilicate AR front lenses from flashlightlens.com, if they are still in business.... they offered many common "custom" sizes and were willing to obtain virtually any lens to spec for unique builds.
CNCman, Im drooling in anticipation with the rest of your project design details and objectives, and admire greatly the precision and skillset inherent in all machinists in general. Thusly, fascinated at the prospect of what overall design you have in mind. A link to a thread would be most welcome.

So, my fourth/latest order has cleared customs, seven days after I placed it. I used the free registered airmail shipping.
Still haven’t heard back about the o-rings they omitted from my last order…
All these ordering delay nightmare shipment stories are eerie flashbacks of the thousands of dollars lost and delays over 6 months of ordering high output handheld laser designs from China over 10 years ago.

It all sounds so exasperating that [CNCman] I would rather machine my own reflector out of billet AL and have it coated. Bluesword has a great parabolic profile calculator [originally designed for short-arc carbon light sources] that can give you precise design parameters for whatever you are trying to accomplish, having to know only a few basic design parameters. I'll try to find the link to it if it helps....
