I, uh, fell prey to one of my own creations this evening. Y’all are gonna have to give this kind of thing some consideration too. We went out with the kiddo and went to eat afterwards. I was wearing my Noctigon Meteor on my belt, right hip side. I played with the light a bit at the restaurant, didn’t quite back the battery tube out far enough it appears. When we got in the car, putting my seat belt on activated the light! My wife saw smoke billowing up from my hip! I got it shut down before any flames appeared, but my holster now has a heat hardened interior surface on the flap. Yikes!

Of course, it’s hot rodded. 10,789 lumens.

Please be careful, I typically make a light draw as much current as I can get it to draw, ya gotta take that into consideration…

I think I may have an unused Meteor holster laying around…

Coming as no surprise to anyone, great light Dale. You are a stud. We are all lucky that a photographer learned to solder dots the size of a pencil lead tip, or something like that, paraphrasing from something you said a long time ago, which you probably don’t remember as significant, but I do. Appropriately, it was said as encouragement to someone who thought they couldn’t mod lights. It’s worth saying, if it hasn’t been said before, or enough, that you have contributed immeasurably to this community. You also build serious kick a lights, and sell them at giveaway prices.
