is this a fair Gearbest solution ?

Open the bezel and wipe of that foreign matter. Dirt on LED is fairly common.

As mentioned, it looks like a real LD34. Centering ring and reflector look the same as Simon's website. Japanese writing inside the does not proof anything other than recycled paper.

As for the missing extender, please drop CSgearbest at PM and Gina will sort things out with you sooner than creating a dispute with Paypal. You can request for an extender at no cost, but they will ship it with free-shipping method (cheapest method to reduce their lost) unless you add $1.99 for tracking number.

Is the ‘43’ deadline for filing PayPal dispute? Didn’t PayPal extend filing deadline from xx days to 6 months?

Paypal extended the deadline to 180 days for the Netherlands. Don’t know if it is the same all over the world. Log in on your Paypal and read your terms or conditions.

its a deadline bo need to wait that long

i receive 98 %of my orders within 35 days after it is shipped.
then i start contacting the seller and he has a week to make a offer to make it good.
if not:paypal
but that is for not delivered things

if something is wrong and i open a ticket the shop has 2 weeks to give me a satisfying solution.

we are customers who sent them already our money! they owe us!

Still 45 days deadline for Uruguay.

I checked the listing - reading through all information there gives no reason to doubt that this light comes with extension tube.

Only place where its omitted is in package details, but given that its been advertised as 2x18650 light Id assume that it comes with tube as default setup!

Either they ship you the tube free of charge or you find out how much it costs elsewhere and claim partial refund through Paypal ;)!

Just looked up PayPal email:

Issues with this transaction?
You have 180 days from the date of the transaction to open a dispute in the Resolution Center.

What a relief! Tomorrow is 60 days for the BLF A6 order and hoping I would get the replacement head before the deadline.

Overseas buying has it’s risks. I’ve had few problems over many years. Problems were spread over many vendors. Most made good very willingly. Only one was a real pain in the neck and a drawn out process but that was resolved with paypal help. I have learned to read everything very carefully and with a skeptical view. I take screen shots of every one and file them away “just in case”.

Well, Here on the neutral white version page http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_161678.html it says ;

Question:
May I ask if the extension for the second 18650 battery is included in the package or I will have to buy the extension to use two 18650 at the same time ?
Reply:
Hi,Dave Bui.
The extension is included in it.

They can’t even get the pages correct.

Do a screen shot of this page linked above now, before they change it to prove you read what you read when you placed the order.
Then ask for the extension tube. If they cannot provide it, they then owe you the cost of the tube from another source.
File paypay dispute, that will get things moving.
Good luck!

Regarding the ‘fleck’ - I wiped the dome with 99% isopropanol on a q-tip and it didn’t come off. May not be ON the dome surface (?)
I remember the old quartz halogen lamps of old, that any foreign matter, even oil from fingers when handling the quartz bulb will burn/fried itself into the surface because of the high temperatures, causing possible bulb failure. Quartz is also silica, same substance of the dome. If I turn on this, will similar problem occur ?
Don’t want to harp on the false advertising/refund issue anymore, but refund to Gearbest Wallet won’t help me at all, since they don’t even sell the tube separately.
Thnx for all your responses, here I get help & answers

What’s your final decision?

You can buy extension tube from Simon directly here or from BG (with coupon code BLF).
40% x USD 27.2 = USD 10.88.

Exactly.

I didnt receive two orders, opened Paypal cases, GB offered refund or resend, I asked for refund, GB went mute from then on, I escalated to a claim, GB provided FAKE tracking number, the one that only tracks within a China. Now Paypal asks me to proceed but gives no other options than cancel or change dispute reason.

Will wait for a couple of days and see whether Paypal updates actual tracking information or not, they say they have not confirmed it yet, I hope they wont side with those sneaky bastards :D!
