I’ve been using an itp a3 was upgraded for about 2 years. I swear the thing isn’t as bright as it used to be. Hence why I switched to a efest imr 10440.
I can’t remember for sure… But I seem to remember it having more oomph, even with an alkaline AAA.
Compared to a pos cheapie rayovac aa led keychain light (which is listed at 19 lumens), the itp with a freshly charged 10440 is brighter than the rayovac on the itps medium setting, but not by an extraordinary amount.
On the low setting, my mighty bright carabeaner 7 lumen light is a bit brighter.
Of course on the itps high setting with the 10440 , it will melt your face off.
Basically , I thought the low and medium setting would be substantially brighter as well. I mean they are brighter than a fresh AAA, but not commensurately do.
I assume its stupid bright on high because its essentially running direct drive ?
Anyway, has anybody experienced the low and medium setting becoming weaker with these lights?
Maybe I should buy a cheap lumen meter to play around with?
Regards
