The Jetbeam is on sale with a code for $28 at Gearbest, but with such a cold beam I wonder how hard it I to pop open and swap emitters to get its beam to look as nice as the Armytek Wizard. Armytek does have a reputation for making some solid lights… I bet it comes out on top of the review.
I got a HC20 over Christmas. It just does not work right. Planning on sending it in for warranty service.
Turns on very dim. Can not change modes. Then it works but does not step down from high after prescribed time. Caused a brand new battery to out gas.
264, that sucks! I hate when I give a gift that turns out to be problematic.
Sirius9, that looks really easy to swap out emitter and driver. If I understand the description correctly then it’s a momentary switch and I could put a QLite driver with the star momentary OS and a nice warm XML2…
That might be real nice.
Ah yes, forget to mention the switch, yes it is momentary, nanjg will fit OK, contacts for battery and switch can be soldered from the same side (stars side) but if you stay at 8 AMC chips be sure to implement step down feature and you will loose ability to flip battery both sides…
As someone who is expecting a H602w in the mail tomorrow, this makes me happy to hear. Will I be happy with it? My ArmyTek Tiara had such an underwhelming output.
I have all 4 in my posession now, waiting for the snow to clear, so i can make beamshots. Also a nw skilhunt h02 is on the way, and if it arrives soon enough, i’ll include it in.
You should love the H602w. Its my favorite headlight in its production form. The tint is very good. Not quite as good as the 5a2 or nichia 219, in my opinion, but very close. Unfortunately its not very mod friendly. That’s where the skilhunt and jetbeam headlights really shine.
