my customer was also very impressed, he’s a nice old guy and always interested in what I’m up too, he just kept saying “god, what they can do nowadays” then clicking the light back on and chuckling.

the glow to the right is spill from the light, had to hand hold and operate the camera.

its not bad, I need to find a flashlight beam shot camera app because none of my shots capture the spill properly, there’s a huge building behind the tree, this light lights up the whole damm thing but I cant take a picture 
This one’s a little late, but I figured better late than never.
So, the backstory: Nitro was selling off some nice hosts. ChicagoX had done a couple of builds with that host, so I approached him to do a heatsink for me. (Somewhere along the line, poor Gords got suckered into a host and some ChiX magic, as you can see above.) Happily for me, I ended up with a the host, a PilotPTK emitter/driver (NW), a Cute3 optic (9 degrees, maybe? I’d have to check), and some awesome ChicagoX machine work: an optic retaining ring as well as a pill to be reckoned with.

I won’t actually talk about the build, as the heavy lifting was really done for me by ChicagoX, PilotPTK, and some anonymous factory worker in China somewhere, but the results are absolutely amazing. This thing puts out a wall of light. My backyard cringes if I go near it now. (I used to think that 1400 lumens was something special; that’s all changed now.) I’m sure there are beamshots around, but I’m also sure they don’t do justice to this light.
So, hats off to ChicagoX for the pure craftsmanship of your lathe work. (If I was wearing an extra hat, I’d give you credit for quick work and shipping as well.) PilotPTK, your functional jewelry is appreciated. Nitro, without you, I wouldn’t have laid hands on this host. Thanks to you all.
