I wouldnt buy'em but if I was in desperate need of a knife I wouldnt pay anymore than $7.50 for the BG folder and no more than $15 for the fixed blade which btw sells at aussie diposal store here in OZ for $90 ...nah I aint kiddin

Those must have been extraordinary years, giving you a deeper appreciation and new perspective on life. There must have been great satisfaction in teaching those that desperately need a leg-up on life. I like your knife and sheath. Do you still have it? Thanks for sharing.
Sure do, I took that picture this morning.
Since it probably isn't the most hygienic object in the house and I'd mess up the wood by washing it, it now opens letters mostly. It was never that good for heavy stuff, you can see the glue where I had to glue it back together at the narrow part of the handle. That was some time in the late 80's. It is one of the very few souvenirs I kept - most of them were given away within weeks of getting home.
But it was a working tool for all sorts of things in the mid 1980's.
That's really neat. Much better than a celebrity endorsement.
