Yes but it’s kind of an either or. If you put the same amps to it it’s brighter. But you can put less amps to it and get the same brightness. If you put the same amps to it you are still using the same amount of battery but you don’t have to put as much so it’s more efficient.

To be picky, I think the “efficiency” is defined as the lumens per power, so the small difference in forward voltage also comes in. Is that right?

Yes I think so anyway. Someone who understands it better might be able to chime in and explain that part better.
