Looking for a few different mega-thrower suggestions.

My buddies fenix TK70 was stolem from his truck so I was shopping for a replacement to give him as a gift after building it all up to my spec's. I'm considering the Fandyfire F-3800 @ DX as somewhat of a TK70 clone. How is the throw on it tho, I'm worried not enough. Any other / better suggestions? Must be 3 cell and 3 emitter but open on most other options, would really like a side switch but mechanical clicky tail switch is fine too, really like to have under $45 getting it here (but cheaper is always better) and needs to handle heat well. I'd hope for a minimum of 150,000lux @ 1m (after mods)

Also while I've got you- I'm looking for a multi parallel cell single emitter soupcan light with a huge reflector AND SIDE SWITCH, similar to the Couru big head but better threads/overall build quality. For this second light suggestions feel free to mention 1-4 cell lights as long as they're single emitter / parallel cells and the cells are next to eachother, not end to end also it must have a side electronic "tact" switch. Price limit on this one under $75, again the cheeper the better, I'm buying it as a host for a built I'll have a hard time buying a more expensive complete light just to hack apart.

^ TK70 clone.

The F3800 is more like a trustfire 3T6 and neither will come close to a TK70 for throw.

You can also go with standard TrustFire TR-3T6, I bought 2 of them and they were perfect, excellent quality

or maybe go with something like UltraFire XL-7009 and replace XM-L with MT-G2 + zener moded fet nanjg!

!!!

Certainly not the best recommendations but that’s all I have in my sleeve for now!

The TR-J19 is an awesome choice for a few reasons. The reflector is HUGE. Beyond that, the emitter shelf itself is massive. The area where the emitters rest is thick, solid aluminum, and it screws with many threads into the body. It seems to manage heat well enough for a 3x MT-G2 with emitters pulling about 90W.

Really a ridiculous light. In the best way. Threads seem to speak good things about this driver for 3x XM-L’s, but I’ve also heard you can use the DRY driver with excellent results.

For the second light this one is already MT-G2 driven at 3A.
Spend 100 they deduct 10 makes this light super value. They also waived shipping fee.

I expect mine in 2 working days as its in AU already.

Strictly as a host how would this do at throw?

Good throw, poor thermal management, little room in the driver compartment.

there is a mod thread by OL somewhere, and also a thread about the deal;I have it, but I would not recommend it, not very good quality IMO

How did you get them to waive the shipping?

I have two budget lights modded with MT-G2’s already and while I’m not complaining I would hardly even call the ZY-T08 a thrower anymore (and its emitter is dedomed). if I’m gonna spend nearly $100 on a light that looks like that I’ll save a little more and get a used TN31.

I went ahead with a 3T6 but I don’t think I’m any closer to finding a single emitter side switch thrower, any more ideas guys?

I emailed the owner Ailsa that if I order an item with free shipping will she send the 7G10 on the same bag. No problem. As you order items in your cart, dont pay yet. Send her an email, then she removes the shipping price. Nice lady to talk to. The $10 will auto-deduct if over $100.
