Looking for upgrade

I bought the below light from ebay. It isn’t bad but I hate the strobe and sos mode and it is not quite as bright as i would like. Can someone recommend a drop in for an upgrade?

The specs are impossible so no surprise your disappointed
What kind of 18650s and charger do you have?

Agree…

Try a good battery/charger and convoy series lights

I have some batteries pulled from laptop packs, crappy ultrafires, and some with flames on them. Cant recall the name.

the ultrafire and cones will likely not run well enough to give you full brightness, and good laptop pulls are excellent, if they are good and unless you have a way to properly test them you can’t tell
Here is what i suggest, a bit pricey but you won’t be disappointed (quality costs money)

What country are you located in?

Im in the US. Yes i can tell the difference in brightness of the laptop batteries and the ultrafires. The ones with the flames seem as bright as the pulled batteries also. Ill look at the light recommended. I have a few other drop ins from ultrafire 501’s and 502’s I upgraded. Maybe Ill tinker with trying to add one of them to this light. The body of the light is surprisingly one of the better built ultrafires I have. I do have that same charger so Im good there.

Just looked the batteries with the flames are Trustfires

Look at http://www.mtnelectronics.com/ its in the US, so fast shipping and a respected BLF member, see his main thread

I don't think a P60 drop-in will accommodate that tube light, though you'll probably be able to get the emitter/mcpcb out and swap it with the Q5 if its a 20mm board.

Maybe even grab a new driver or another emitter altogether if you're willing to go the solder route.

Edit: I opened up some 501b drop-in I had from FT and not 20mm oops :P

Batteries you should look for are sanyo, panasonic, sony, LG, the big names and companies that rewrap and sell the big name quality batteries
