Lost my Fireflies E12R :( - a similar replacement??

So, the Fireflylite US site is up! Can I assume that shipping time from items stocked in the US site and warehouse will arrive sooner than shipping from China?
I find it interesting that the US site doesn’t make any claims to lumen output - I wonder if that’s because of different business regulations…like, the ones that require you be honest in your advertising, lol.

I just received my E12R with dedomed 519A 2700k with the updated ultra low moonlight mode driver. You can contact Fireflies or leave a message when you order to have them dedome the emitters. If you dedome a 519A 5700k, it should look very similar to the 219B sw45k, which is very rosy. The E07X Pro is very different from the E07. It uses the super efficient LUME driver and can regulate much higher output than the E07. Also the E07X Pro uses a very throwy optic that I think is 10 deg vs the E07 which was 30 or 45deg. I don’t have an E07X Pro yet but I intend to get one later.

To quote Jack Nicholson, “I’d be the luckiest man in the world if that did it for me…”
However, referring back to my OP, im not looking for rosy tint, but pure output in lumens. Don’t care about tint. And I already have an E07 which works great and I like it. Just wanting an E12r with something close to the stated 12k lumens.

Happy to know that Fireflies is willing to do such custom work, though.

I just told Jack to see if he can get the new XPL HI variant. If so, we should easily see 12k+ lumens using the Molicel P45B

Yeah good call about the new XP-L, the E12C could probably do something like 36A at turn ON with them, 3A per LED, 6500K V3 would do 1000lm, 12000 lm, 10000~10500 OTF.

The E12R would do less due to higher circuit resistance, someone made a comparison on reddit.

If you warm up your Molicel to 45C and overcharge it to 4.3V, you can push a lot more current, but please be careful!

I did not know this. Does the pulsed charging current actually cause more battery wear than a constant current charge? If so, by what degree?

I like 219b, especially sw45k. But even sw35k can be nice. Still, not very efficient. I find them best in small EDC applications, momentary use here and there. For more powerful throwers, the clear choice is 519A due to superior efficiency and still a very pleasing tint.

I ended up ordering the sand-colored E12R 519a, 5700k dedomed on 1/10/23….ordered off the U.S. site, but this one is coming from China probably due to the dedoming. Experts seem to say you lose about 20% CCT, so that should put it in the 4500k level?

10% discount for subscribing on the site, although it didn’t come automatically like it was supposed to….had to ask for it by Chat feature, but no problem. Discount made it $112.50….hopefully it arrives in a reasonable time
