Low resistance springs out there?

Hi all, in the next future i will mod a couple of lights and don´t want to bypass the springs (in the driver and in the tail) so whats the better options out there? i only know this:

Carobronze springs

Gold Plated Beryllium Copper Spring This is 11mm base so no compatible with standard hosts.

So, anyone know better options?

Thanks.

KD has 2 sizes of Bronze springs

Very interesting! Thanks

Any more¿?

Anyway to put Gold Plated Beryllium Copper Springs 11mm base in any tailcap board? in other words, is there any tailcap board for standard hosts that acept 11mm base spring?

Thanks

Convoy tail board accepts only 10mm spring, the 11mm may fit

Do you have any link for buy this tail boards? i will buy at least 5

Thank you.

The Beryllium Copper springs that you linked to fit all of the convoy tail boards. Just take care in the placement and be aware that too much heat when soldering can kill the switch.

If you look at Djozz’s spring tests you will find that they are the next best thing to a spring bypass.

Unno, I ordered a bunch of tall springs to take up the slack when swapping out the reflectors from S2+es with TIRs, and got a bunch of Au-plated springs from FT in various heights.

I just figured I’d go easy with even thinner wire (22ga or so) just to reduce the resistance but not be so bulky that it wouldn’t be a spring anymore (eg, a big solder-soaked wad of Cu braid).

When you figure the thickness, or should I say thinness, of PC board traces, switch leads/contacts, and such, there are other places to concentrate on to reduce overall resistance.
