Mike, do you have a picture? What chemistry? ICR? Thanks in advance.
They took ‘forever’ to ship so now they’re sold out by the time I got the first pack in the mail. :\
Anyway:
The pack pops apart at the seam very easily.
3 D3’s, 4 D5’s, and 1 D6.
Haven’t looked up the specs. They all measure 3.56v. They all need to be rewrapped (see the 4th cell) they didn’t shrink it around the negative pole.
Just clean them up, got a pack with Sony cells that are the same way. Unless you use them in series I don’t think it matters. Who would use unprotected cells in series anyways.
I have apack of those on the way also. Can’t wait to test them in my new BT-C3100 v2.0 charger
It bugs me that they aren’t wrapped on the bottom.
My wrappers were pretty rough with nicks and some bubbling anyway figured I’d just rewrap em’ all to match even though I like the blue.
I’m pulling tons of those sony cells and testing them in my new Opus charger. Literally, I have a plastic bin with pyramids of them, all labeled with their capacity They’re good cells from what I can tell.
I left mine welded in pairs and ran them through my new BT-C3100. 2400mAh per cell. I’m real happy with this deal.
Cleaned them up and am charging them now. Great deal!
Wish y’all would stop posting pics of your fancy dream chargers, making me want to get one!
Finding laptop batt packs, old or new has become another supplementary hobby in itself since I got my hobby charger. I am still waiting for my BT-C3100 to arrive though, but when it does, I will no longer go through the hassle of using battery cradles and bulky power supplies to know the discharge capacities of my cells.
If you would just slow down a little on the flashlights, you might have enough for a charger now and then
How come you don’t have one yet? There’s a guy here on the forum that could help, he has a direct line to GearBest, oh wait that’s you!
Hi my friend David,
Of all people, mine was shipped Ap29th, exactly a month ago, how ironic! Anyway, I’m been buying from almost all of these Chinese online vendors and historically it’s always been a fast 10 days to the slowest 40 days, so I’m calloused towards it already. Mine was tracked this morning to have landed the capital city in my country. Nice to know you are enjoying your ‘new’ found hobby. And btw, I will never forget your help in buying for me the AAA Duraloops…
I received my pack EXACTLY 2 days after ordering…couldn’t be happier!
If anybody knows of any deals that also contain decent IMR cells, please let me know!
Do you want IMR for the increased safety, amps or both?
Some power tools need higher amps so those packs can have them.
I have a thread here discussing it. It’s to replace IMR’s I pulled out of a battery pack for my work tools.
I’m not sure exactly how the battery circuitry, or the charger for the drill operate, and can’t readily get the information, so I’m worried to use any other chemistry, although the thread discusses Sony VTC’s.
Thing is, I’m also trying to budget-build this pack….so price is a big issue. Trying to get increased capacity as well.
