That’s a very interesting perspective. However, from a non bike rider, why is it so hard to just stop, do the mode change and then keep going? It’s not like you are driving on a high way or something?
P.S. it also shows, whatever UI you design, there will be people who like it, and people who think it is hideous.
Actually, I did ride on highways, on farm tracks mostly dirt, poor asphalt, up and down steep 10%+ hills and in cities, with the B01 in August-October in Poland and Ukraine. You want to change the setting while riding because of runtime limitations. A few nights I came to where I wanted to stay late, about 23:30 and so running full power all the time is not adviseable as you don’t know in advance how long the trip will be. Determining what power level is sufficient needs to be done while riding, and depends on terrain and speed. I used turbo sometimes, never the low mode which should be removed, or increased to say 100 lumen.
