I was planning an LED/TIR swap on mine. How to you disassembly the head? Heat? Simple unscrew did not work for me.

Based on my EDC01 experience I assume it unscrews clockwise
I was struggling with lumintop edc01, trying to unscrew the pill with a driver and mcpcb in a usual way. Had broken my tweezers, bought round nose pliers, bent them a bit. Then decided to turn in opposite direction … what a surprise.
Patient didn’t survive (luckily I had another one).
So want to know for future mods to what I should get prepared.

Based on someone’s post I put a Tool 2.0 Nichia head on my EDC15. No mod needed. Pretty nice light although for me a little large for a keychain light and no clip makes it hard to nail down a specific use.
