Doing a google search found an Australian site selling the Lumintop SD75 for $399. I would have uploaded photo’s but I don’t have an online source to store them on.
There is no worries about charging, this is completely different sistem than AceBeam built-in !!! Btw K60 doesn’t have problems with charging, its X60. Complaints about AceBeam K60 are most about thermal transfer….
Today I will put newest images of SD75 and some good news such as OP reflector(80x70mm), DTP copper mcpcb, and BLF logo is going to be implemented !!!
It’s a bit of a disappointment that it’s an OP reflector for me. I’m planning on modding to an XP-L dedomed at around 7A. It doesn’t mean I’m not going to buy it, I just have to re-align my expectations to match the reflector reality. If I was planning on keeping it stock, the OP reflector wouldn’t be a disappointment at all.
Yup, since the 30% to 40% discount is already mentioned in the OP, why keep it secret unless the GB price isn’t really that good? If the price is really 40% off and made public, then I’ll bite. Otherwise, no need to PM.
Well.. K60 has a DTP copper MCPCB, and a turbo timer. Still it does get hot when driven hard. (..and my conclusion is that it's not about thermal transfer - feel free to prove otherwise, but please remember to bring the data)
My estimate is that SD75, being about similar size and weight, will also get hot if driven up to 5000lm (OTF) levels - or continuously at 4000lm.
Ps. The price of SD75 is good. [That being said, I might be able to arrange some K60s for about the same price level (delivered, not DHL/FEDEX though) - but only "for my friends with a valid forum ID" - not a GB for everyone]
I don’t feel like searching BLF for the data but I read that the K60 had the same design flaw that the K50M had where the heat wouldn’t flow into the head properly and went into the tube.
The SD75 head has enough mass to handle the heat during that 3 minute period.
mwfire has a UniqueFire UF-V6 with a XHP70 driven with a FET driver and he can run it for 10 minutes with no problem. Also the UF-V6 weighs almost 2/3 less than the SD75.
Yeah makes a great host for xhp70. My only complaint was the pill takes an odd mcpcb size like 24 or 25mm can’t remember off hand i only know of XHP70 20mm so I had to center it the best i could when soldering to pill and didn’t get it right. But it kind of worked out with dealing with the center black spot so I haven’t fixed it. Also you need to wrap the threads in copper tape or aluminum tape as stated in post I never had any oxidation of any threads I’ve used that tape on so far and it’s been a lot of lights.
Since you all know that the reflector will be OP here are some closeup pictures
Size of reflector is 80mm wide and 70mm deep so its just a little bit deeper then K60,
Here is the copper mcpcb
and compared to the K60 its much bigger in diameter
At the moment I am waiting for pictures of the driver, and the readings, but mu guess is that if they claim that light produce
4000 lumens then we should see only 5 Amps on HI but it should be much more stable , compared to 7 Amps on K60 witch btw drops really fast. If you compare the weights without batteries of those two you will see 831g SD75 vs 570g K60 .So 270g more !!! Its like a TENK!!! Imagine how much SD75 is thicker and how much better withstand the heat…………………
*If you all want to know the price its not a problem since from now these lights will be for BLF only and will have
BLF logo !!! ———————— its 149$ with DHL or Fedex shipping included ————————————————

Thanks and will keep updating
