I just received mine today, have been looking forward to it.

Initial thoughts:

  • The blue is a bit lighter than I hoped for, but is what I figured it would be
  • I really like the honeycomb TIR
  • M-L-H will take some adjusting to
  • Nice and compact
  • Smooth threads for easy one-hand usage

As soon as I turned it on I knew I needed to swap the LED. I knew to expect a cool white, so no hard feelings there. Within the first 3 minutes of ownership, I swapped in a 4000K Luxeon V2. Much better! Easier on the eyes for nighttime reading or house navigation. I measured high to now be 150 lumens. But unfortunately I didn’t think to measure it before the swap (the manual states 120 lumens). What a doofus :person_facepalming:

Edit: and an excellent price to boot. Makes me want to order more, but I need to find a “use” (excuse) for them :smiley:

Excuse for them?

Swap them the XP-G3s with 4000k SST-20s 95CRI. Now, that would grant you way better color rendition with about the same throw.
