JasonWW:
Hmmm, very strange. I believe the metal ring just pushes into place. You would need to get a metal tool and pry the ring out. Then put the rubber switch in the hole and push the metal ring back in.
You would need to make sure the button is rotated so the led can shine through. See this picture.
I would like to do it even with a screwdriver, but I’m afraid that I will scratch anodisation. I do not have a flashlight in the collection without even one scratch.
I am also wondering if I already pulled out a ring it would be possible to push it again. I mean, it can be loose. This ring is probably a one-off.
I think so too, Jason.
I tried to push the edge of rubber button under the ring, but it’s too tight.

Just take a small screwdriver or similar tool and use it like this.
Lift one side just a little, then lift the opposite side a little. Go back and forth until it lifts up or pops off.
Don’t worry about scratches under the button cover where it can’t be seen.
Just make sure the button cover is rotated correctly before you tap the metal ring back down.

I think it’s the same basic idea as the metal ring on the ROT66 light.
steel_1024:
Leverage principle, not difficult, but be careful
Will not hurt the rubber press, bezel

Try lubing the inside of the ring in the light with some silicone grease.

You are getting great advice how to fix it but I agree that you did not buy a DIY flashlight. This is not like simply tightening a retaining ring, there is serious risk of severe scratches when trying to fix it. So if you do not feel like doing the fix IMO you are right to contact the seller (Neal).

The GT Mini has 4430K in turbo and BLF Q8 4874K. That’s why GT is warmer but not WW. In addition, it is below the BBL line so it has enough red and not green and it is a great color. If for someone it is too warm, I recommend Thrunite V6 in NW because it has 5432K. Personally, I like one and the other light.
This is what my lights look like:
