I was watching a dvd recently with my wife. She noticed a 5 or 6 D size flashlight which looked like a maglite and it was Gold in colour. It had to be at least 14-17 inches in length. It also looked like it was incan rather than LED. I have checked the internet and can’t seem to find anything that resembles it. My wife really wants one and while she is interested in MY hobby / obsession, she says most of my lights are boring, because of the same mostly black colour. I say mostly, as I do have others that are coloured. To give you an idea of her lights, she uses a red E09 on her keyring and she just bought one of those Gat light clones (with the coloured 5mm lights around the top). I noticed there are some Rayovac’s that sort of looked like it but the light we saw was more modern. Does anyone know of a gold light like this, maglite or otherwise? My luck, this will be some super rare version of a limited run.

Yes, seen that one but ( I am asking for trouble here ) but my wife likes them really long

there are big lights at dx and other similar sites, iirc 12xml, 3 26650, with goldish color anodizing.

I suspect it would be hard to match color of the head/body since they’re so different, mass-wise.
What dvd was it?
I can't remember Maglite making a run of Gold lights. They have, over the years, made limited runs of several different colors. Of course, one could have been done custom as well.
Maybe it was a gold plated custom flashlight. Maglite only have sold a limited edition gold plating mini maglite.

Paint a maglite red and put a 219 in for incan like light?
Or a red light or any other color maglite if that seems interesting. I’d imagine a properly driven 219 would run much longer than the stock bulb (and not break when you drop it).
