Probably because we are both broke at the same time!!!

My youngest is heading off to college (Michigan Tech) so I need some money for his trip and books and stuff. No student loans for him which is very cool.

Thanks and I’m lucky that he got such good grades. He got scholarships for much of it. I think the sad thing is that the price of college has gone up so much that most parents simply can’t even think of paying for it. So the kids end up stuck with massive student debt. I really think most parents would be more than happy to save up for their kids college if it wasn’t just so incredibly expensive. When you know there is no way you can save up enough there isn’t much incentive to save up at all.

The cost of college education is almost unaffordable for middle class families now. It was almost free when I went to college and I have more than repaid what the state invested in me many times over in income and other taxes paid but priorities seem to have changed and somehow an affordable education for young people is not so important anymore. Many graduates struggle with student debt for a long time. I wish you and your son the best.

Hi 18sixfifty,

Your modified Black Shadow Terminator and eight 18650 batteries arrived this afternoon in perfect condition. Thank you for packing them so well. I love the seven-step UI and the beautiful beam color. It’s much smaller than I imagined (based on its output) and has a very useful range of light. Fit and finish are outstanding, and it’s easy to safely lock out with a partial turn of the head to avoid passive drain.
